Good to have detailed info, KitKat. In researching that ^, have you happened to come across anything on the difference between dogs which eat goose excreta and get problems, and the dogs which still do eat it but don't get sick from it ? Obviously if a dog does not pick the goose poop up and munch it in the first place, it cannot catch anything, and some dogs clearly do not enjoy that taste; but for so many dogs that DID choose to eat it, I had a lot which did not get any adverse digestive results, ever. Many, but not all, were related, so there may be some familial protections or predispositions to dodgy guts I suppose.

Agree with Kitkat's post and thank you for the technical explanation and hopefully will help the OP. Also it is not just goose poo, livestock manure, as well as deer and other farm/wild animals; and if they will eat goose poo they surely will eat doggy poo.... Probably hasn't caught him at that yet...Nan
