Wolf Good eyes in catching this. I really think someone clearly needs to get a life if all they have time to do is try to screw up a good site. I know I use this site alot to help where my database program may not have the information I need. I guess this is proof that my late mother was correct when she said "some people just never grow up". Ed

One big problem that concerns me, is that anyone can alter any pedigree and photo. ANY! Thats kind of scary! So in other words, I could go change someone elses dog photos! Yikes!

Yikes is exactly right, Hucklebuck! I didn't even know that my bitch was on this site, sans photo or any comments. I don't know how on earth Oli would have the time to check out each and every one. I think that Wolf should be the Registration Police, as she has already discovered some hokey entries. Or, perhaps someone who has more extra time on their hands and wishes to make a difference. Louise, how 'bout it?

Keith - yes, you're right, but it does raise the point of legitimacy when any Tom, Dick & Harry can not only enter but edit the information throughout the database. I see that Ursus von Batu was now born in 2002 - it must be difficult to be a Sieger before you're born. schmetterling - I did say that clarification would be helpful, in the event that I have misinterpreted the entries or someone else has a skewed perception of what the titles mean, but it doesn't seem that way. Kerry - I'm always willing to donate my time to a worthy cause. ;)

Unfortunately,,people have exposed this sites vulnerability. As of this moment, until something else is done,I think it is safe to assume that some portion of the content is inaccurate.Maybe we can all throw out ideas as to how to correct this. ANY ideas should be welcomed, no matter how silly. Together,,maybe we can fix this!

That is tough Wolf. Just to play devil's advocate, some VA's are awarded in other countries. For instance the high SG 18 Norbert Vierhundert Hertz is VA in the Philippines recently. Interestingly the owner posted correctly the title VA followed by Ph. I think people should post VA followed by the country it was awarded so people can more or less give merit to the title. Or have a comment where the dog got his VA. Unless otherwise specified then it is fake. The owner of this site Olli has been so benevolent to our beloved breed but this site is being corrupted by these few bad eggs! Somebody has to stand up and volunteer, that knows how to manage somethings like this. Roger

"Somebody has to stand up and volunteer, that knows how to manage somethings like this." Roger, I did email Oli and offered to help any way I could but it was several months ago. I'll contact him again and see if he needs any help...it's the least I could do as much as I have used the information on the site. Keith skyd1ve@hotmail.com

"Or, perhaps someone who has more extra time on their hands and wishes to make a difference. Louise, how 'bout it? " Me? I will be more than willing to help in anyway I can--if this is what Oli and the consensus wants. "I didn't even know that my bitch was on this site, sans photo or any comments." Somehow, I believe that Oli must have some sort of link with SV information for dogs from the same litter which are SV registered. My bitch's littermates are also on the site--without photos. I surely suspect that they were never individually registered. Louise M. Penery riesenblut@sbcglobal.net
