Everyone has there own way of doing things. Just because it,s different from yours doesn,t make it wrong. Grip building I,ve heard it all but the bottom line truth is grip is genetic you either have it or you don,t! You can build a fence from mud but first time the wind blows and the storm comes it,s back to mud. With todays sport dogs you might get away with a built grip the stressors aren,t there to test such things. A dog under stress will revert to it,s foundation and all the tricks in the book won,t change that if properly tested.  A puppy who crams the rag, jute, towel what ever you use into the back of it,s mouth and holds without shifting will grip like this for life.I don,t care if he is shaking it growling with it as long as the grip stays full and soild. Lifting the dog or pup  and popping the object as he is holding it in a jerking motion away from the pup simulates prey attempting to escape it sould induce a genetic reaction for the doig to bite harder or possibly shake to "Kill it" this is a genetic response and i like to see it in my dogs anyhow.

I,ve always been told you can,t "fix" a bad grip but you sure can destroy a good one. If it matters, I,ve always  been taught that you never "Out" a dog from a bitesuit only a sleeve.

Come test them Bob.

One of the dogs in the video is a genetic 3/4 gripper.  I'll let you tell me which one and how you know it from the video.

Prager,  LOL, you've been done,  You've just been hiding it behind your monitor and your dance.

and why am I not surprised that you have pics like that on your computer.  I think you need them often.

BTW, it's not a chest thumping thing like you like to do.  It's a confidance that Bob can come work my dogs and see it for himself.  Just as I readlily admit that one of our dogs is trained to go full.  Feel free to pick him out when we post the videos that we take tonite. Which is also why I said tell me how you know from the video.  It's possible that someone will see a tell that I have missed in the training.  If there is one, I want to know and I will try and find a way to fix that as well.

Bob, you can fix the grip in the dog if he is mentally sound.  There are a lot of dogs out there who are working dogs but are not genetically full.  Reference the video that Kim put up with Carly.  That dog is not full most of the time, but with correct training he can be taught to be full.  The hardest thing to fix is the genetic thrashers and or munchers. Those dogs who want to shake and kill the sleeve.  I believe that is an excess prey drive and not true agression (my belief, no way to prove it either way that I have found yet).  That behavor and dogs that are munchers (actively compress and release the pressure on the sleeve) are the hardest ones to fix.  The success ratio for that is much lower than a dog who is a 3/4 gripper but is calm and firm.

And yes you can ruin dogs who are genetically full calm grippers.  I have seen that happen with dogs I've worked as puppies and I see them a couple of years later and its a what the ?

Video,s are great things! there good for Porn,Bachlor Parties, making girl freinds cry, keeping kids entertained I don,t post them and generally not intrested in them. Yes i,ve seen them. If I want to evaualte a dog for breeding, working ect... i,ll go see them in the flesh.

I agree for the most part, but it sure beats reading about them from behind a monitor.

Thats what really sucks Bob when I tried to evaluate a couple porn stars for breeding they kicked me off the set. So sad.

I am looking forward to the videos, the dogs bzcz works and trains don't sound anything like the typical sport dog. Im excited.
