quarantine, I have a problem with doing this at the vets office, there are sick dogs there. Parvo is airborne and not all strains are vaccine proof and the list goes on. I do agree with the quarantine, When they are bring a dog back they are not always honest about when, where, and why. This getting a lab is a joke, I am assuming they are doing this because they feel, or atleast the wife. that they are "safer". By feeling that way they do not understand, It is all about how you raise the dog, and the temperment that is in the pedigree. I have met quite a few labs that were jerks. I am glad your GSD is going to be rehomed.

Barbara, so the client was finally honest with you, and they are going to buy a Lab, which is what they should have done the first time and not wasted your time? One would think that from your results this was an "impulse" purchase on their part and one with that they were not happy. Or perhaps (what I would suspect) they never told the truth before, during, or especially after the sale. These people had no business owning this dog, and finally proved it to themselves. It is absolutely not your fault or the dog's fault, as you did the best that you can and much more than a lot of other breeders would. But, none of that is important anymore and you have your female back in your possession. That is the important thing, and perhaps you can find a buyer who is 100% worthy of a dog with excellent drive. I am glad that this story has a happy ending. Bob-O

I wonder if they know what dog has the most recorded bites? If they do their home work they will find out that the Lab has the most dog to human bite on record!

Take the dog back and return all their money. It happens to everyone sooner or later. Not sure I agree with requiring a quarantine, it depends on where the dog has been since it left your place. Frankly I'm glad to hear they are moving on to another breed.

As said in earlier posts, I too would take the dog back and give them a full refund, just to be rid of them. Would not even waste any time entertaining the idea of selling them a dog in the future. These contracts are so hilarious. The buyer(s) want COMPLETE protection from the breeder(for all possible scenarios), but will not resiprocate SQUAT when it comes to holding up their end of the deal. Greatestgsd::::: Where did you find info that Labs have the most recorded bites? Just curious as I have been around and lived in areas where Labs are highly used and I have never heard of a Lab biting anyone.

I looked up Texas info and the Lab was rated 6th with the most bites. The Chow, Rott,GSD,Pit Bull, and Chow Mix had more bites than the lab. Will look at the BSL .. what is the BSL ?

I researched it a couple of months ago so I would have to look it up again, I should have said one of the top, not the top. Non fatal bites, is also what I should have added. I also believe that it was on the USA as a whole. As soon as I find it I will post it for you, It don't matter to me cause I don't own Labs I own GSD,s. I think it has to do with alot of people having Labs, more so then GSD, and Rotti and other kind of dogs
