I once got in touch with my feminine side and none of my friends talked to me for a year??? I did cry when ole yeller died... I get weepey when I watch Bridges of Madison County.... My training shoes normally don,t match my training vest... I think I need a hug now .

Hexe, if you haven't already, I think you should explain what it takes to train and handle a team of sleddogs. Most of those dogs make the most stubborn, willful GSD look like a walk in the park. They ain't called screaming weasels for nothing LOL.
The demo dog at Statesville was a great sable WL male trained and handled by a young lady. Outside the ring this dog was social, unimpressed by other dogs; when he saw that sleeve, he was all business. I don't think she weighed more than 110 lbs and told me she trained him herself. IMO this is the sort of dog all of us should aspire to own/breed/train.

First I'm with Blitzen, them dogs is crazy stubborn! :D
Secondly as a woman I may not make friends but agree with what you all think Jeff said (but didn't actually seem to say if you read what he said cohesively).
I have owned very 'strong' dogs in the past. Dogs that would climb the leash if they thought they got an incorrect correction. I have battled through it but I KNOW I can't give the same level of a compulsory correction as a man. I am just not as strong. I am 5'10" and in shape but I am not superman. Maybe the highest level correction I can give is 7.
I can patience it out and beat a dog at the who is going to win game and so can anyone of any gender. I definitely don't have babying issues with any of the dogs I have worked. Maybe some women do, I don't know. I do know that dogs probably see gender just as much as they see color/race-not at all.
Am I ruining the breed? No. Because when I know I can't do something I go to a more experienced (whatever gender) person who can. If that means I need to get a handler for my dog to title them (has not happened but I would) or a trainer that's a man or whatever I will do so for the benefit of my dog, whose training comes before my feminist equality for all attitude (I don't have it but let's say I do).
Do I think there are women doing bad things with dogs? Sure. And men as well. Inexperience is inexperience. Don't even see why there needs to be a debate here.
