Ace you said you don't like people that put a high price to open negotiations, but sometimes if you price a pup too low people will completely dismiss the pup as there must be something wrong with it, which is not always the case but if they start high on the dog that does give them room to come down if somebody is not willing to pay that, but if you start low you can't up the price for those that can afford more.

Oh I agree Donnerstorm.  You have to charge something for a pup.  Even one's for pet homes b/c people equate price with worth.  I say in reagrds to most breeders (many on this site) openly tell you here or on their site (just like KK) how much pups are.  i think the avg price is between $1500-$2000 with $1800 being the median price.

I think breeders who don't go down know what they have and know they will get what they ask for b/c they breed quality.  I think if you worry about people haggling and talking you down then someone doesn't feel your pups are worth it.  If you are afraid to lose a sale then that tells me more about the breeder.  Most breeders feel like if you haggle about the price then you may be cheap on the overall care of the dog, (i.e food, training, Dr appts, working the dog in some avenue..Sch, etc.)
