Sumo yes i am outraged and there is NO excuse for the killing of these dogs in that barbarac way no matter how much the authorities went into panic mode the authorities should have had [as i said in my posting] rules and regulations about stray dogs, if need be put to sleep[ by a vet ]not clubed to death, I can understand the severity of your problem but to club dogs to death is horrendous and it is up to each authoritie in each country to lay down the rules and regulations on stray dogs and breeding also if the stray dogs are such a major problem in your country and other countrys like india and china then ALL BREEDING SHOULD BE STOPED untill you get the problem sorted then and only then should you be allowed to breed and then only a certin amount of litters per year and all x breeds should be neutered Iam sorry to be so blunt but if a small boy has been killed by a stray dog then it is the people and authorities fault as these people let your country get to this stage that you fear dogs walking along a street park ect. maybe you could help to solve the problem by getting a group of friends together to discuse and put plans into action, and if any child has been killed by a stray dog and i know this can happen i am so very sorry for that family my friend was in turky for a holiday some years back and she was attacked by a pack of stray dogs and almost died so i know it is a dangerous situation, yes we all know that these stray dogs are pests but as i have said man has caused this situation by breeding the dogs and then disregurding them, it is not the dogs fault i am sure that the dogs would rather be in a good home getting looked after and fed the dogs do not want to be strays trying to survive yes it was wrong of the british goverment to kill all the healthy cows because of mad cow disease and all the healthy poultry but thay were not clubed to death thay were put down humanly the way the dogs are killed is down right disgraceful i do hope that you can get a group of friends together and give your goverment some info on how to stop or control your stray dog problem and i wish you good luck in trying to sort out this problem i am sure that the members on this form will gladly give you all there thoughts on how you can help to prevent more strays and the excisting ones

I have a hard time understanding how some one who visits THIS site thinks that dogs are not any different than cows, fleas or mice. But what really worries me is that it is my understanding that Sarko Di Casa Mary was sold to someone in China last year. I hope there are at least SOME dogs spared. I have a puppy from him and she is a great dog. Sumo, actually if you think about it, people are only animals and should be treated like fleas or sick cows, when they are a nuisance. Is that your point?

Not a good place for dogs to live, and not a good place to die either - do they even know what "humane" means? I don't think they have that word in their dictionary, for their animals or their people. molly

These dogs are not all strays, folks. Some are being taken from their owners while on walks and provoked to bark from inside their yard, confiscated and murdered. It's not popular to speak out against the practices of german breeders. Most know who does it, boycott their dogs for god sake. Money talks and that is what it's all about. No one needs a GSD so bad that they have to support those who are providing these dogs to the China market. I will include brokers in that boycott as well. Maybe they all need to get real jobs? While you're at it, boycott WalMart too and all goods made in China. There is strength in numbers.

Sumo, Everyone understands what you are saying! But, your country and all the rest including China need to figure out another way to deal with the problem. The whole point is that DOGS ARE COMPANION ANIMALS!!!!! I have never heard of a cow, chicken, mosquito, or mouse saving someones life! Or making someone feel better when they are sick or sad! Or even just being a companion and protector on a hike through the woods!! THAT is the point everyone is trying to get across to you! Debby

Yes there needs to be more of a Humane way to deal with the Rabies problem in China, But again look at who your dealing with. You can Boycott till your blue in the face, your not gonna change them. As far as the 50,000 killed in China we also need to direct our attention to the 5.1 MILLION anmials Euthanized in this country yearly.
