I would be in serious trouble and my dog might end up dead if crating was not legal, thats just dumb!

by Het on 16 December 2006 - 15:12

I know I think it is something that I saw on the news and it has Peta behind it, but again one of the things that they are keeping quite to see if they can push is through. I will see if I can find anything on it. and will post it here.

What do you mean we can't put family members in kennel crates??? I thought that was standard practice for training children. LOL. Just kidding but have heard of it on the news with the lady who kept the foster kids in cages at night. I am sure there are people training dogs at Pets Mart and at Petco that have some abillities but, these wack jobs trainers are every where. Problem with the big corporations is that if they fired her then that would be admitting something was wrong and they would be liable for the death of the dog and have to pay big bucks. Mike

Bob-O

I agree this is a sad story. If this is 100% true as written then is a detailed account of animal cruelty as this puppy suffered a needless death due to actions by his owner and her "trainer". If all is true, the owner must share the responsibility for the death of this puppy. Who is to blame? I think more than one (1) person. Beware this trainer and beware this owner. Just my opinion, Bob-O

by MI__GSD on 16 December 2006 - 22:12

I agree Bob-O. The owner is as much, if not more, at fault for letting that go on for an hour. I don't care if she was uneducated about how to train a dog. If you saw your dog foaming at the mouth, you've got to know there's something terribly wrong there.

by VHDOOSEK9 on 17 December 2006 - 01:12

<<"Deringer is employed by Petco. ">> Well that explains it. But like Bob said the owner is just as responsible. After all she just sat there watching while this nutcase tormented this dog for an hour and did nothing. Even someone who's inexperienced can figure out that something is wrong with that type of training (Torment).

by EchoMeadows on 17 December 2006 - 02:12

Gawd, I say we catch them both, tie them up, sit on them, poke at them a while till they lapse into unconciousness !! What the hell are people thinking ? I agree with Bob-0 as well, This horrifically stupid owner deserves as much blame here !!!!

..maybe the dog was given an injection @ the vet that killed it? I'd like to see the vet bill. Sounds like a set-up... wasn't there a disagreement between PetCo and AKC earlier this year?
