Happy Friday the 13th, ladies. All of you should have competed in the Veterans bitch class. You all have access to my unlisted landline. Molly and Nia have my cell number, There can never be a dog show without incident. The worxst incident I experienced was the delay in judging the young female classes on Saturday. This caused both Veterans classes to move from the end of the day on Saturday to Sunday morning. The owner of one male had to pull his dog because he needed to drive back to Michigan on Saturday evening.  If anyone had a crystal ball, I could have saved on 2 days of lodging and car rental expenses. As it was a warm day on Saturday, I had to frequently check on my boy parked in the shade and with plenty of water.

The second inconvenient incident at the show were the men's and women's restrooms (both 2 holers) that were locked and non-functional onf Saturday and Sunday. Every one had to leave theit loads in the two port-a-potties!!

So. there were no LEOs at this event--nor polizeien, nor gendarmes, nor Texas Rangers. How in hell could a 72-year-old woman and her 10-year old dog be a threat to a sane and rational person? However, on Saturday, one skinhead spectator (who looked the world like schutzstaffel) drew a line in the sand and and attempted to intimidate (for unknown reasons) me by slowing my direct egress from the field to check on my dog in the parked rental car. A that came to my mind was the Bob Dylan song The Man in the Long Black Coat (lyrics: http://www.lyricsfreak.com/b/bob+dylan/man+in+the+long+black+coat_20021472.html ).

If you want to know where I was every moment of the show, ask Mary Dygert, Tim Burke,  Bernd Weber, Roanna Banducci, or Heidi Theis. I went to the "meet and greet the judges" get- together at the host hotel on Friday evening as that hotel was adjacent ot my motel and within easy walking distance. I arrived at the show early with my paperwork on Saturday and stayed through the awards ceremony for the younger classes that same evening. Also, I arrived at the show early on Sunday in order to show my dog, to watch the Progeny Groups, and the Working classes. I also went to the awards ceremony held late Saturday afternoon.

In another post I will provide cell phone photos, taken at the show on Saturday afternoon, at the Sunday awards ceremony, and at the airport on Monday morning. I was lucky to get to my return flight due to a thunderstorm and heavy traffic. Fortunately, the foul weather delayed the incoming flight.

GSD edit: sentence removed as it is non-sense. Since you changed your posts and I noticed I will explain right here which is the same thing I explained to you in pm's. Your focal point of your pics was of the people and not the dogs/event and with most pictures the focal point is the center of the picture and the center of your picture was of a group of people, since you did not have permission to post a picture of that group and there were multiple complaints made, I removed the pictures. Leaving snide comments is getting you no where quick.

WOW!
What a crowd!
A pictures worth a thousand words!
Way to go UScA!

Maybe the crowd was in the shade/bleachers where the picture was taken?  Was there a big crowd?  I wouldn't know - I wasn't there.  Just like most of the drama-queens - I mean people - on this thread were not there, don't know, yet insist on spreading rumors and drama on an internet board - Nia don't you work?  I guess not - here you are still enjoying the spreading of rumors and gossip,  just like you always are.  Aren't you an attorney?  Pitiful.

Me, I was outside all day working for a living.  Novel idea, isn't that?

I would say that photo was taken on Saturday @ 91 degrees. Yes, it was taken from the covered viewing area.  The majority of the crowd sat up under the 170 feet of covered viewing area all 3 days.  The best seats at the show were up on the berm under the tent.  You were able to see both rings.smiley

That photo is of the male ring & I think the 12-18 month class.

I would sure hate to lock this thread, but I guess if the grown woman commenting can't control themselves and keep taking it off topic, I will be forced to lock it or take further administrative actions.

If any member would like to discuss the actions already taken I suggest you send me a pm and not make more drama on this thread or any other thread/post.

The people who sat below must have had their brains fried and became irrational and delusional. Difficult to take photos with a cell phone--unable to zoom any great distance. I left my camcorder (takes videos and still photos) on the floor of the rental car in the shade.

GSD edit: snide comments removed.

First, let me post photos taken at the awards ceremony--not very sharp due to camera movement.

Look ata our handsome LC Sieger on the lower left--such a lovely dark face. No, none of these people gave me permission to post their photos. However, Roanna was standing next to me and also taking photos.

by Louise M. Penery on 17 May 2011 - 23:05

Next a couple of photos of my Veteran male at DFW (guarding my carry-on luggage in the chairs behaind him---prior to our return flight. Farewell to Texas (where Nimo has never been undefeated in Veterans) until the next South Central Regional. Now that I've seen that a deformed ear is not a handicap, we may also show at NASS 2011. GSD edit: snide comments removed. There is no need to retire my one remaining GSD from the show ring! He enjoys travelling and schmoozing with people on the plane and at the shows. How is that for an auricular hematoma sans surgery?? Following electaro-accupuncture, he is drooling less and has less goop for me to clean from his left eye!

This thread is now locked, since you folks will not stay on topic and I do not have the time to babysit grown adults. If anyone would like to discuss my decision, you can pm me.

If you would like to start a new Sieger Show thread you can as long as it remains about the Sieger show and not some childish stuff that happened years ago that you folks seem fixated on.

LET IT GO FOLKS.
