Asking for clarification, IOW, relying on someone's interpretation,  rather than going to the rules and reading them one's self means, what?   It does not mean that you get to cry and whine when it turns out that you "relied" on the "interpretation" of someone else who hadn't bothered to read the rules, either.

I do not disagree that the rules, as currently posted on the SS website, aren't  crystal clear.  However, the first sentence regarding US residence and USCA membership is crystal clear.  An individual chooses to ignore that, and go solely  by the second sentence at their own choice.  That is particularly true when entry also requires USCA registration of all dogs over 12 for US residents...and we have established that you must be a USCA member to register the dog.  There is no ambiguity about that.

But, it is not up to me.   And...I am not saying that Louise (and others) may not have a point.  I have already begged/urged/beseeched the PTB to clean it up, to no avail.  I have asked an official who keeps claiming such an exception exists for the  written authority for any  Sieger Show exception to published USCA show rules, to no avail (because I do not believe that there is any).

Bottom-line:  However this goes with respect to accepted entries, it appears that it may well result in grounds for BOI charges.

I just spoke with Pam at USA Office. She says that , if I have proof of membership in the SV, that will be sufficient for my entry of my dog in the show to be accepted. Pam is aware that I am a resident of the United States amd a non-member of USA. Certainly, I wll have a membership card in the SV in time for the Sieger Show.

A non-member of USA may not file BOI charges.

I am well aware of that, Louise.  I have made that very point on this forum repeatedly, if not ad nauseum.  No  one said anything about you, or any other non-member, filing BOI charges.

I am sick of repeating myself on this issue , so I won't.  I stand by my previous posts.

Just, please,  Louise, give us your word that we won't "hear" any further bleating, whining, bitching and moaning from you on this subject, regardless of the ultimate outcome with your entry.

Was wondering if  anyone knows who will be judging the female classes at this event?  I've checked the website; it doesn't appear to be updated with this info.

The decision hasn't been announced yet. There are many waiting to plan their attendance based on the announcement. I'm hanging out hoping for good news soon.

Three options:

USA judge. Johannes, Karen, Ricardo are the only USA conformation judges. USA has been supportive of their judges program as we have seen in the past. Johannes has moved through the classes and it may be time for another US judge to make the progression. I haven't seen either judging shows in quite awhile. Karen is listed as judge for the Universal Sieger team selection.

Another SV judge: Going back to the two SV judge system of years ago. Somewhat of a regression for USA. I'm sure it would be a tough decision after the learning curve they have gone through with the USA judges.

Let Mr. Weber judge both males and females: Why not? One SV judge, times are tough, we're all cutting back, so there's one SV judge this year. It would be the most economical and universally accepted decision.

Have mailed copies of my paperwork to the USA Office. Also, have secured the services of an excellent handler who is a member of my dog's fan club.
