i agree with you slamdunk.you must first have a well breed dog and then the trainer and handler comes into the picture.i also agree that a bad trainer can ruin a dog.i know of people that have bought trained and titled dogs and in a matter of a few months totally destroy the working ability of the dog.everyone in this discussion i think has valid points.it is not worth fusssing over.he is a great dog with a very good handler.

Oops!  I owe you a big apology, Steve!  I misspoke when I said Izzy was your first GSD and now see that you've had at least a couple of others before her dating back to Fred who it looks like you got at the beginning of '07.  That gives you like 4 whole years of experience with the breed!  You're even more awesomer than I thought!

the true legend would be ronny , 4 times worldchampion with 3 different dogs

further I have to agree with jim , both need to be good , but to score , the most important part of the couple would be the  trainer and not to forget his team around him/her

sharon ronen is doing a great job , nothing but respect , but were would she be without her german connection
so the people you can work with are equally important as well

so basically the dog is 30% of the whole ,30% handler and 30% for the team

hhhhmmmm what would be the last 10% , oh I remember luck/judge

It seems like a lot of these forums are filled with hate and jealously. I get attracted to certain articles aimed at  improving my knowledge of the breed, but it always ends up with one or more persons tearing each other apart. Sad.

I breed show line shepherds, but obviously the dog in this video is a very superior animal. Both the breeder and the trainer have done a great job and that's a credit to the breed. Let's just leave it at that.

Yes, Fred, that was in Belgium in the 6 years i have lived in the country that is what i am talking about, Had Dogs since i was 10 years old 60 years to be precise
So for your piss taking attitude it makes you look what you are a Prat. Tell me where i have ever said i know it all what thread was it said on. you will not be able to produce it, because it is simply you being bloody clever and  funny or you think you are.
The way you carry on anyone would think that you know me, But in real life you would never get the chance  i would suss you out in a instance and pass you off as a nondiscript sort of person
With you it seems everyone can pass there opinions on a subject,  but when i do and i am right what i said then you start, Breeding as i have always said is Paramount, But without the handler all is in vain the Dog can go no where or be ruined
Now i will harp on about Izzy again as you keep telling me that i do
I was the Person to pick out her Sire some 18 months ago to mate to a breeders Female, Since that time that Sire has won 7th WUSV and 1st WUSV,
Now as her G Father and G.G Father are also World Champions WUSV that makes Izzy a very well bred Dog indeed , Well in your eyes i could be wrong
So if  when Izzy gets her SchH3 and is Korclassed in 2011, who takes the credit, As you say it is the Breeder not the Handler he or she has little to do with it according to yourself and Vikram.
On the other hand in a different persons hands Izzy may do better, or she may do worse,
If it is worse then what happens to the breeding part of it that you deem to be the be all and end all, because in your way of thinking it could not possbly happen by being handled badly,
Answer the questions in a straight foreward manner if that is possible of you

I don't really see any questions, Steve, nor do I know you aside from your presence on this forum.  I have noticed, though, that any time anyone disagrees with you about anything, you immediately start name calling, demeaning their knowledge and in some cases even threatening physical violence.  Perhaps you see this behavior as a positive contribution...not so much for the rest of us despite your attempts to rationalize it.  Maybe it's time for a little introspection?

I know when I achieve success, my breeder is going to get tons of praise from me, and so are my helpers, and friends, and club members, basically the entire team it took to achieve it.

Tiekerhook kennels has been producing world class dogs for the entire existence. It's just that there are handful of people in the dog world who can handle a Tiekerhook Dog!! Period.

cheers

Vikram,

I've never had the pleasure of seeing a Tiekerhook dog in person, but have heard lot's of good things about them. What makes you so sure that only a handfull of people are able to handle them?
