Shelly, do you have a PayPal account we could donate to? That's the least complicated way.

Don't go back to that shit hole or that asshole that lives there Shelley. I have 2 spare rooms, a real small yard but we could take turns crating dogs and rotate them out in the 2 kennels I do have and a 3rd in the yard itself. I have a park 3 houses down perfect for OB work and playing ball.

autobahn, If you read between the lines, I think you come to a understanding of her problem. Shelly I have a extra room if you need it. I have large runs too. A little to many dogs, but still enought room for a couple more! I met you at NASS last year. Let me know.

Folks, this is all great and from someone that's been where Shelley is now, I want to say thank you for her. The offers of a place to come and stay are wonderful and heartfelt and much appreciated. She can't move on to the future until the past is taken care of. The economy sucks and times are tight for all of us. But we can all afford to skip a dinner out, a movie or some other little thing to help one of our own that needs it.

Mobjack,

Your solution works best for me, and I suspect others. I have had too many issues with Paypal to ever use them again. I know some love it, but I have reason to be suspicious. I cannot and will not set foot in a Walmart. So, I will pm you for a snail-mail addy to send a check. Uh....who are you, again?

I'm helping Shelly with everything I have to help - hopefully that counts, no extra money but she also needs support from friends.

I can't help out with more than moral support and good thoughts right now, but I send lots of those until the 1st of the month when I hope I can help in a more material fashion. I also have been there/done that and I know what an emotional black hole that can be. I know how the dogs (and cats, and birds) can help keep you from just slipping into black space.

CrysBuck, You could get a Costco cash card ( they have decent but cheap dog food) and have Shelley PM a town that she is heading for and then send it to her care of Postmaster General Delivery and she can pick it up there.

I'm going to start a new thread with some suggestions on ways all of us can help. Look for Shelley and the GSD Underground Railway.

We are all suffering in this economy, some more than others.
BUT...if most people reading these posts would "donate" at least $25....( thats 1 meal from a normal restaurant or 1 night at a corner bar) to assist Shelley thru this horrib

Now, what I find most interesting about the posts PetaPal cut and pasted here is this:  The ones from my self and MOLLY date from August 10 and 11.  Please re-read Molly's.

Now, this question: At that point, wasn't Shelley already staying at Molly's???  I believe that I learned that shortly after those posts appeared on this forum.

by hexe on 23 July 2010 - 19:07

Yes, it's true that at no time did Blanche actually directly ask for donations of cash, goods and services--she's always found it to be more effective to play the weeping damsel in distress, and get others to ask for or offer assistance on her behalf.  If Shelley really had any inclinations to be self-sufficient, she'd have refused the offers of goods and services, and told the too-tenderhearted Krazyboutk9's to keep anything monies sent to her Montana GSD Rescue PayPal account for the rescue dogs...which not only NEVER happened, but I guarantee was NEVER EVEN CONSIDERED by Blanche for so much as a split second.

Begging by proxy is still begging.

Oh, and sure, lots of folks 'offered' sanctuary to Blanche and her roadshow, but let's be frank, folks--that's REAL easy to do when you know the geography ensures you're not likely to be taken up on the offer.  Hell, steve1 over in Belgium would have taken her under his roof...IF she could get herself to Belgium.    Why izzit, ya hafta wonder, that she didn't take shelter with one of her many friends and admirers from her Schutzhund club?  Or at the very least stash her dogs with some of those folks so they'd be safe and couldn't be touched by the estranged husband?  (Mind, I think those folks were the smart ones in this epic--Molly was the fool who actually opened her door!)  John Kennedy has shown himself to have tried to be a very good friend to Shelley--why didn't she and/or her dogs end up staying with him and his family? (Again--I think John dodged a HUGE bullet there, for whatever reason...whether Shelley didn't ask or didn't want to or John wasn't able to, he's far and away ahead of the game for it NOT to have happened!)

Yeah, Molly's behaved badly since the initial arrangements went sour;  everyone has their breaking point, and not a one of us can say with any accuracy what we'd do and say if put in the same situation--everyone here has behaved badly at points in their adult life, but people of character learn a lesson from it and make the necessary changes to avoid repeating the mistakes that led to the deterioration of behaviors.  My point of contention with Blanche is that she studiously avoids doing the last part of that progression--she makes no changes, and she repeats the mistakes as if the consequences will somehow be different this time.  I have no interest in stupid dogs that won't learn, and I have no time for people with that same affliction.
