How about the Banana Splits? - Uh-oh, Chongo!

Mystere

quote" of my sisters was madly in love with chuck conners! we loved rifleman! "the end of the civil war was near, and quite accidentally,...." F troop was hysterical. what about the vriginian? wagon train? wild wild west?"

I remember how we'd ALL watch Wild Wild West and try to do those stunts Jim West did.  We learned, the HARD WAY, just what type of incredible abs that man had:  It was impossible for any of us to hang upside down and untie our ankles from fences.  We just did not have the strong abs to do it!!!  Mind you, we were healthy, active and athletic kids.  We ran to the local park, 3 miles away, and did it easily.  (Of course, going to the corner store on a Mom's errand was a major physical difficulty!)

F-Troop was so dumb, it was funny as hell.   Rocky and Bullwinkle was the best!  One of my classmates in high school was Russian and had initially learned English from watching  Rocky and Bullwinkle.  Any surprise that his first teachers thought he was "challenged"?

I always thought the Banana Splits was stupid until
I went to college and experimented with smoking pot.
After that the Banana Splits was the funnest thing on
the TV. After graduating I no longer smoked pot or
watched the TV very much. I have always been an
outdoors person.

It's funny how many of us had tree forts! We also had "block wars" where we would fight tree fort to tree fort on the different streets.

Does anyone remember Star Blazers, one of the first Japanese anime-type cartoons? Came on in early morning and then in the afternoon. Had a catchy song. Something like, "We're leaving Mother Earth, to save the human race..."

I remember dinner was always cooking when (the now old) Star Trek with Captain Kirk, was on TV every early evening.

The good times.

Good times when the teenage years started too, but I should be thankful me and my friends didn't get arrested during those years. lol

jON LUC,  smoking pot and watching tv, now no pot and no tv. That is the problem with the stuff, it promotes LAZY. I do not really think it should be legal until after you retire. We are going to have a generation, that will not want to do anything but watch tv and munch.

I actually forget all of the details (too many dead braincells lol)  but I think the ship WAS the Argo!

What was that planet's name that was going to help them? The Queen there had the plans for some machine.
