Matt,
It was Welcome Back, Kotter...

BabyEagle,
Interesting video! I can't believe it was 1948!! How very predictable it was. Apparently not enough people watched tv back then, but we can share it now :-)

lord, i loved wild kingdom! had a big crush on jim. loved night stalker too. sundays, after church & dinner at gramma's, we'd wait til our dad took his sunday nap & watch Roller Derby! my closest brother & i loved that!!! we still talk about it (i'm 54 & he's 50). sometimes we'd watch some really horrible philipino horror movie. they were hilarious! saturday nights the family would watch old sci fi or horror movies and then go to Thrifty's for a $.05 ice cream. my dad always bought a single scoop vanilla for our mini-doxie. spoiled little pooch, but she was sweet. sometimes our folks would tell us to put on our jammies & we'd pile into his chevy station wagon (4 on the floor, mag wheels) and go into the hills. we'd watch the moon rise and they would tell us really scary stories (the same ones are still around lol). the one that used to freak me out was the one about the escaped convict killer with the hook for a hand. of course my dad would leave his window down and the doors unlocked. he loved the point where we'd all scream "lock the doors lock the doors, roll up your window dad!!!" and the old story about the babysitter and the creepy caller (in the house - get out!). my folks loved scaring us! altho, daddy got scared too & mom was always the one to make sure all the doors were locked etc.
this has been such a fun thread.
