Sabrina, my heart is breaking with you. You did all that could possibly have been done. it is hard to understand why such a young dog dies despite all efforts to save it. Sam was lucky in her short time, that she got to spend it with you, your son and family. So sorry for your loss.

My heartfelt condolences for losing Sam.  I have been following your thread and like many here, had wished for a better outcome with your struggles to get Sam well.  The sadness in your last post speaks volumes and we feel for you and your family.  RIP beloved Sam.

Sabrina, I am so very sorry for you loss. Words offer little at times like this. Please know you are in my thoughts during this difficult time as I also understand-as all those here- the pain of losing a beloved canine friend.

I'm so sorry to hear this.  Sam was much too young.  But for the short time she was with you she was a very lucky dog.  I hope you find another dog that will make you happy and I hope you have that dog for a very long time.

Sabrina,

I am so sorry.  I know you did everything you could.   He here a little card/poem for you.   Hope this helps.  I know it did when my cat died.

Just this side of heaven is a place called Rainbow Bridge.
When an animal dies that has been especially close to someone here, that pet goes to Rainbow Bridge. There are meadows and hills for all of our special friends so they can run and play together. There is plenty of food, water and sunshine, and our friends are warm and comfortable.

All the animals who had been ill and old are restored to health and vigor. Those who were hurt or maimed are made whole and strong again, just as we remember them in our dreams of days and times gone by. The animals are happy and content, except for one small thing; they each miss someone very special to them, who had to be left behind.
They all run and play together, but the day comes when one suddenly stops and looks into the distance. His bright eyes are intent. His eager body quivers. Suddenly he begins to run from the group, flying over the green grass, his legs carrying him faster and faster.

You have been spotted, and when you and your special friend finally meet, you cling together in joyous reunion, never to be parted again. The happy kisses rain upon your face; your hands again caress the beloved head, and you look once more into the trusting eyes of your pet, so long gone from your life but never absent from your heart.

Then you cross Rainbow Bridge together....

Oh that is so sad. I'm so sorry for you, Sabrina. You worked SO hard for the dog you loved. You deserve a LOT of credit for the way you did everything possible for your beloved girl.

PS. Could you please post a photo of her in happier days?
