I don't believe that this puppy's hind quarters will firm up, he does have great strength and masculinity though. He might improve some if he was not exercised and only allowed free running. I don't like to see them walking on their hocks. He also looks to be too long in the thighs. Now you are going to tell me he grew up to gain a VA grading or something.

This pup has extreme rear angulation, no doubt. But again, he is not in a normal walk.
Both front feet are off the ground, whick indicates to me that the pup is thrusting hard against the lead and is being lifted up in the front and back on his rear.
I think it would be a whole different look if the pup was off lead, although probably still more extreme than some care for.

I agree with Rik..this is not a good position to judge a dog..this is not even a gaiting phase!! The dog is clearly lift up in front by the pulling on the lead..
The back or the front cannot be judge with this picture..love to see a better one..
