The estate of a deceased person is liable for all legally incurred debts. The executor of the estate -usually either an heir or someone appointed by a probate court if the estate was large enough to probate - is responsible for settling estate debts. I have been an executor so I know how this works. In the case of ordered merchandise, if the widow didn't want the unused merchandise, it should have been returned to the vendor, in this case Frawley. Otherwise it should have been paid for. If the estate was insufficient to settle all debts, the probate court usually orders who should get paid and in what amounts. This is usually directed by state law.

Once the estate is closed, any entity owed money is basically SOL unless a claim was filed against the estate while it was open. The heirs usually cannot be sued for the estate's debts.

I have no way of knowing the situation of C. Smith's deceased friend. To berate or curse a grieving widow over a bill is beyond outrageous. Most decent people are happy to work with the executor or surviving spouse to settle a debt fairly.

They tried to return the junk stuff to Ed, he wouldn’t take it back and accused them of trying to rip him off. They didn’t have the money to pay for the stuff. There is only probate if there is an estate and there was nothing.

He also accused me of trying to rip him off when I wanted to return a Belgian Ring video to him. The reason for me wanting to return the video? 20% of the video was of an air show!!!! Every time a dog would finish an exercise he would pan up to show air show. It said nothing in the catalog about air show footage. If I wanted to a damn air show I would have bought an air show tape.  And if I put a stop on the credit card charge he would have had me on his website saying that I ripped him off.

Let's face it,  some of the folks in this "community" would be PTS for temperament problems, if they were dogs.  Ed is simply one of them.

I have ordered many many things from Ed as well as Cindy over the years.Everything is of excellent quality, and they were very nice to do business with.Always ready to help with any questions a person might have.
I think Ed has that right to post on his most wanted list names and info of people whom has ripped him off.I'm sure other's would do the same ,as many do on this board about other's, and the dealings that  go on whether right or wrong they post it.
So do other breeder's on their web site give info of bad dealings they have had.

It's not about Ed's rights. It's about Ed doing right.

The simple rule here is this:

Nothing leaves till paid for. Only makes for common sense!  Ed would not have the issues he has today.. So I say his fault and no one elses....
I'm pretty sure the mans not hurting especially if he has sold as many puppies as he has.. Noted ( PUPPY MILL )
Then we have the internal theft of a business name.. Okay, and we all call him HONEST! Sure tell me another one! It's like this folks what goes around comes around.

Gator: "Perhaps to better fit our present day society, and lack of personal integrity, this apparently confusing, outdated and ambiguous list should be revised to read, "The Ten Suggestions"

Well said.  I love it when someone has to mention that they are a "Christian".  I'm a Christian too, show me your one.... don't tell me you are.  Plus, I really don't care what you are.  I'll respond to you based on your actions not so much your words.    Actions speak louder than words.   ( I realize we are on an internet forum, so we can't actually see actions.  But you get the drift)  Being a Christian doesn't make you any better than any other kind, caring person who treats others well regardless of their political or religious beliefs.

Christopher, sorry about your friend. Frawley can be very harsh and it's his forum, he's clear about that.  So, I don't go there.  I prefer the PDB it's so much more "Christian."

Jim
Who is sorry he's about to post on this topic.

The way I read the origanal post ( Not the Christian way of doing things ) that does not mean the individual is a christian.. Christian can mean a whole load of things these days..

In my eyes its just a statement nothing less..

Mind you a good christian does not judge, but has the right to their oppinions no different than anyone ele!

Ciara, here is a post from a topic Raymond started:
Raymond stated:

"I would like to let everyone know that I am a born again bible believing christian who follows the best I humanly can the teachings and commandments of God and Jesus.I hate no one yet I will not tolerate lies or injustice.I will be first in line to lend a hand yet I will not help you abuse yourself.  I endorse and  follow the biblical commandments of Christ . If it aint true it is a lie. If you do not worship Jesus then you are against him. His words not mine! So this should dispell any thoughts that I am a bigot or hypocrite. First to help and lift up and first to tell you if you are in err. Halo and I say whats up doc."

Just so you know where he's coming from.  I really don't think those were Jesus' words, but any one can be misquoted and misunderstood even Jesus.

Jim
Still sorry for even reading this post and probably shouldn't comment.
