I was wondering & worrying as well, Oli's last post about his country's economic problems was as troubling as our own, in fact more so. And this PDB is not an inexpensive venture, Oli once told us how much of his own resources go into it, the number was staggering! I hope you know, Oli, how much happiness this site brings. Even my girl, Kalie, likes to browse the site with my husband & I. She likes to mostly look at showline males, although an occassional working boy will catch her eye. (& I'm serious, she really does browse with me, very funny to watch!). And this site brought me Wolf, & introduced me to Shelley, & to a few other folks I've had the privlege of meeting, & to so many online buddies that I now think of as friends. So, Thank you very much! jackie harris

You may all know this, but for any that don't - the only revenue Oli derives from this site is from the contextual Google ads that are served onto the site. Under the Google AdSense terms of service he is prohibited from formally encouraging you to visit the advertisers - but only when you doe he have the opportunity to cover he bandwidth costs, etc.
This is called PPC (pay per click) advertising, and Oli will realize 5-25 cents for each click, so it takes a large number of clicks to break even.
I have a genuine interest in many of the ads so I probably click a couple each visit. I try not to click the same ones over and over because that then shortens the campaign duration for the advertiser. Advertisers using Google AdSense set budgets (typically monthly) that might be something like $25 per month, bidding 15 cents per click.
If 's a good system for both parties - and because the ads are contextual (relevant to us) - they're good for us as well. Anyway, to support the site, visit the advertisers.
