Shelley, don't you LOVE MUD! Yuck! My house is a nightmare of sheetrock dust, muddy pawprints, fur, (Beckett & Kalie are both blowing their coats, for some bizarre reason!) Wood scraps from hardwood floor installation, gravel that, just got put down in the driveway, is now washing down the road.....laundry & dishes stacked up because of all the OT at work....God Bless Carl, who vacuumed for me yesterday while I was at work! My carpets are totally destroyed, that's why the hardwood is going down. And I'm going to lacquer it, I don't care if it ruins the wood, it will help protect from the nails when they get too long...Carl has the dog's room torn up again, so I have crates in the living room again.......sigh! And the family is coming in for the Holidays, so, in the 2 days I have off before Christmas, it all has to get fixed! I worked myself senselessover the last few months, paid off 2 of the vehicles......I just gave up today, spent the day playing with the pups, & playing on here. So, how've you been? I think your house sounds lovely, but why bother with tile? Just make the whole thing rubber on the inside! I don't know about you, but a rubber room kinda sounds like it would fit my lifestyle lately! LOL! Oh, & I forgot the best part, denial, I guess; the BATHROOM is under repair, as well! Freaking nightmare! jackie harris (or should I say harressed)

LOL!  Send me the  blueprints too.  I will have to have my architect add padded corners and walls for the puppy when the kids decide to play hide and seek with her.    Indestructable, waterproof and chewproof.  Oh, and how about six feet high gates at the staircases so the big dogs can't come up stairs.  God forbid Storm slurps my husband in the kisser at 3 am again - (but he was making soooo much noise)!   How about a timer and air deodorizer on the auto vac system?   That way, when i return home from errands, all the hair and doggy smell will be dissipated.  "NO MOM, we are angels and weren't roughhousing while you were gone"

Three dogs in the house is just a little much for me.  Guess that is why I have been building a posh doggie house in the back yard for them.  (ie- four indoor/outdoor runs, heated and cooled with a loft for storage).  My poor husband just shakes his head.............Ah, he loves me.

Love the Sham-wow self-grooming dog door idea. This house is so filthy after three days of rain I am tempted just to burn it down and start over. The kennel floor is cleaner than the ones in the house. Maybe I'll just have cable installed up there and move in. I'm up there as much as anywhere else anyway.

Hey Schutzhundjunkie...it's a deal.  After a day of tiling the house/or heavy duty yard work, we can kick back, pop a pain pill and a couple shots of something strong and then talk nonsensically about brilliant stuff, LOL.  Seriously though...you know Eric has access to all kinds of heavy equipment.  I can volunteer his services in trade, and we'll build a fountain, or a pool, or heck, a fishin' pond in your back yard.

I love it when Eric looks at an outdoor project and says:  "Oh, that's no problem, we'll just move that side of the mountain over there."  So sexy.

You know Eric lowered part of our hill by six feet, where the new heated dog barn and dog pens sit....right?

I too asked myself if there excists any linolium and carpet with paw prints on it, as this wouldnt make the muddy feet so appearent. A two day soaker and then heavy downpur for one day.....geeeesh. My guys have serious cabin fever.

Shelly, include a hallway at least about 100 yards long with green fake grass for throwing the tennisball, will ya?

Well, my pup Tonga (13 months) past her CGC test wednesday, and then we took the TDI test on thursday since SCH training had been canceled. Both days I had to find an empty parking lot to get some energy out with the ball..... in the rain....lol She also got her first Rally leg last weekend.

Slate floors are great for dogs.  They can't slip and slide on it and it never looks dirty and is easy to clean.
