the other option would be to pay up front for your advert and copy of the book then their would be no short fall in the costs involved  as i understand it the book itself could cost £20 to £22 then if eveyone pays the higher cost there should be no problem and with any profit going to welfare then we will all have given a donation if it works out a little less, just a thought

Thanks Jim :) I am going to discuss at Birmingham this weekend :) I will deffo be applying a deposit along with realistic deadlines though ,I think its definitely the sensible approach.

We are so much looking forward to the British Sieger Book, an absolute excellent idea.  This is so good for the UK.  Lin, the Breed look liked it was going down hill in the UK and we needed a pick 'us all up' especially after Zamp came to Crufts, this is what the UK GSD scene needs.  Thank you for coming into our Breed, its all so exciting, well for me anyway.

TY :)

We are now working with 3 UK print companies for new  /alternate print quotes so it is more important that a concrete figure for ordered copies is established .

We are looking at ordering around 150 copies max in this first year , it will be as such on a pre ordered first come first served basis that books  are sold. ( deposit amount to be finalised)

UPDATE : approx 75 copies have already been pre booked in 24 hours..

UPDATE: 28TH MAY

A £20 deposit per booked advert page is required. Likewise pre ordered books require a £10 deposit. The deadline for both advert deposits and book pre orders is Monday July 28th 2008.
Deposits are non refundable unless there is a problem this end and the publication is cancelled. Deposits will be refunded in full in such an event. If you wish to cancel for personal reasons before the publication is printed deposits/payments will not be refunded.
Deposits are important and are necessary to secure the success of the publication.
The remaining balance for adverts will have to be paid by Monday 29th September 2008, this is a non negotiable deadline and no exceptions will be made.
The final balance for books will not be asked for until books are despatched to individuals as a final price will not be available until books have been ordered from publisher.

The deadline for submitting finished adverts if arranging advert design via a 3rd party is 31st August 2008,
NOTE:  adverts must be of a resolution no less than 300 dpi and designed to fit an 8” height and 10” width format.
(Please do not compress finished files.)
Deadline for submitting advert ideas, text to be used etc if you wish to use the in house complimentary advert designing service is July 28th 2008.
This early deadline “for ideas” is required to allow me to then work with individuals to design an advert to suit their needs.
Deadlines are not negotiable and have been set with thought to ensure maximum time for all parties concerned.
