Well then, may his soul rest in peace.

Goodnight.

I hope they take his case Federal.  That way he can get some serious jail time.  Maybe DMX and Vick can be cell mates.

I really don't understand why major celebrities, especially those that often come from an underprivelidged background and raise themselves up to fame and fortune, completely blow it by breaking the law. How stupid do you have to be. I think of all that money and I see the good I could do with it, for my family, for others, for the breed I love- and this jackass is hurting animals for entertainment. What a douchebag. Maybe him and R. Kelly can share a cell.

KCzaja-"Maybe him and R. Kelly can share a cell."  And throw Michael Jackson in there just for some "extra added pleasure".

beetree- I'm not a Republican but I can make one promise and that's if it comes down to Obama or McCain then McCain is gonna be my man.  If Obama becomes president then you will see me waving the Canadian flag singin "Oh Canada"! lol

I've gotta tell you guys a funny story.  My best friend got a call from someone campaigning for Obama (she is a republican, her husbad a registered democrat); the gentleman on the phone proceeds to tell her he's a 74 yr old retired union worker campaigning for Obama and would like to take a moment of her time to talk about why he should be the next president....she humors him to listen to what he has to say.  The man goes through his sales pitch and ends it with "can we count on you for your support?"  She politely says to him "Oh I'm sorry but I think I've supported enough blacks over the years and I just don't have not one more ounce of "support" left in me".  The man just said "appreciate your time, maam, sorry to bother you".  LOL  I just about DIED when she told me the story.  Although I truly feel where she's coming from I don't think I would have had the nerve to put it out there quite like that.

On another note it appears the people who grew up struggling in lower class lifestyles who later become wealthy and famous have the bigger problems because they just don't know how to live any other way like the rest of the "normal" folks. Truly sad that these are the "role models" for our youth that buy their music, watch their movies, look up to these athletes....with all that money and fame they could be doing so much more for their communities.

Oh yeah, lets have more of the same, our country is in greeeeeeeeat shape.  By the way, I don't think your friends comment to the person on the phone was funny, I think it was racist and sad.

Agar:  Actually, I am a registered Republican, but don't always tow the party line. I can't stand it when any person is party fanatical and refuses to look at the people and their platform for running, but care only to promote the political party.  And on that note, I would have to say, please, please, anybody BUT Hillary, she just plain annoys the spit out me! (And then if that happens, I'll be learning the words to "Oh Canada!")  lol

I do feel that if McCain gets beat, it will only happen if it's Obama who is running against him. And I don't think there will be a "dual ticket" of Obama/Hillary or visa versa.  Some ego's just won't work well together, IMHO.

And I do agree newly acquired riches by the underprivileged, (or should we say undereducated?)  is not too much different from what is, IMO, the somewhat cliche of Lottery winners of millions of any color, who find themselves bankrupt in 3 years. Managing wealth is a learned skill, far from being innate. Now we might ask, does fame always mean you are a role model? Does being a role model require consent? Is DMX now famous or just infamous?

Not quite sure how this went from DMX and dog fighting to the election, but I can't help but agree with Sueincc - can this country stand another 4 years of Republican government? I don't think it can so for the first time ever I am seriously considering voting sttaight Democratic ticket this year regardless of who runs. Hillary or Obama, makes no  damned differeence to me. How could either be any worse than Bush? Get over the race and the woman thing. In the big picture it's not a factor period.

by beetree on 12 May 2008 - 22:05

Blitzen,

Did you miss the fact it won't be Bush in the office if the Republicans win? I can understand the Bush bashing, heck you have lots of company, but are you really mad at all Republicans and therefore will vote the party line, no matter what?

by Blitzen on 12 May 2008 - 23:05

Beetree, I didn't miss anything. No need to be patronizing. I have my opinion, you have yours.
