Lin, your photos are always stunning,  please dont let petty politics get in the way of  peoples enjoyment of them.  I look forward to seeing them each time, and the Zamp pics were just fabulous.  Keep it up, show the rest of the world that we have some quality dogs in the U.K, whose owners are happy to have them photographed by somebody who does such a very good job, and whose motivation is purely unselfish. Thank you for sharing them with us here.

Penny I do not know what people must be thinking. Like myself they must be wondering if Lyn is the same Lyn who allegidly 'bought'  a puppy from well known GSD breeders in Warrington, refused to pay for it, then followed that up by trying to discredit Quivk Vom Grafental and his owner when the dog later died.

They must be wondering why we are so quick to adopt someone can take a good photograph for their own interest and then charge exhibitors for the privilage of having it included in a book. Without the adverts there is no book. They must think we are fools

I think this thread is going nowhere.

The issue regarding cameras at the 2 day has now been cleared up. The issue regarding the book publication has been explained as far as can be at this stage, we must await official adverts/statement etc for this.

If you want to advertise in the book then that is everyones individual choice, likewise if you want to buy the book. No one is being forced to do anything here.

Please dont start getting personal and slinging muck at different people, as previously stated, the GSD show scene is in decline, lets all try and rally together to boost the show scene and leave our personal likes and dislikes out of it.

Here's hoping the 2 day show is successful and enjoyable to all who go.

Anyway enough said, I apologise if I misjudged you and it certainly was not my intention to upset you but since you appear to have taken umbridge at not receiving a reply from me re the West Yks CD you sent, perhaps it true to say you also misjudged me.

Likewise Sue B  and I will ensure you are kept a breast of any future developments personally and I hope that in the future I will have the opportunity to photograph Daria etc again.. Feel free to email me  at fardogart@btinernet.com personally for information or call me and I will give you as much info as possible to keep you in the loop likewise to any of the other "genuine"  posters who may be still confused as to the publication.

Thanks to all who have tried try to help sort this out including everyone who has been muddled by the whole thing at least now everyone is aware of the proposed publication and the thought behind it .Hopefully my reply helped to expalin why the information wasn't out there in the public arena..I can assure everyone as soon as official notification is recieved by me , everyone will be informed of what is happening ..

pleased to see that the committee of the GSD club of Scotland has sorted out the issue of taking photo's at the 2 day Show. thank you for that.

Lin if you are to continue to be involved with this Breed you will have to grow an extra thick skin. I'LL tell you how at the next show.

I'm quite sure that everything will be sorted eventually with fda and the whole truth will come out. I wonder who will be left with egg on their face then.  Be careful what you wish for.

To Lin (fda),   I Thank you for your reply. Whatever the reason, I am sorry that you will not be in the ring taking photo's at the 2 Day Show, this breed has always remained a Hobby to me, hence my appreciation of your efforts at Fife, subsequently leading to my fighting your corner in West Yks Committee meeting when getting them to agree to you being in the ring to take your photo's at  West Yks Champ Show. 

To Videx (Dave),  I take particular exception to your comments above, remember your knowledge of Lin only came about because of your dogs achievements at West Yks whose Committee had invited Lin into the ring :- 

 1. They are very quick to condemn without full and accurate facts, continually assuming many things while still short on facts. - 2. I do not consider myself elite, Fairness is very important to me, and yet I see very little of it. and I leave democracy for when it is relevant. - 3. I only wish they could match their vitriolic comments with positive action for our breeds’ future. 4. Our breeds show scene is facing doom and gloom here in Great Britain, being destroyed from the inside by the very people who profess to care about our breed.

Relevant to what, to whom? I was not fighting my own corner here; if I had been I would have shut up as soon as I was told I was on Lin’s initial email list!! The reason I took issue with this is because I was actually fighting the corner for DEMOCRACY for ALL, not just DEMOCRACY FOR MYSELF, forgive me for not possessing a ‘SELECTIVE’ sense of DEMOCRACY as you. I do admit this most terrible trait of mine (of wanting Democratic Equality for all) only too often leads me into more trouble than I care to remember and despite the past warnings from friends "not to get involved", some things are too hard a lesson for me to learn or swallow, so unfortunately that is my cross, which I accept.  Damn it I even resigned from Gen Sec of BAGDS on a point of DEMOCRACY. 4. So when you start accusing me of being one who professes to care, who is destroying this breed from inside, you walk a very thin line with your accusations here, accusations of which I TAKE GREAT EXCEPTION!!  I sincerely hope your accusations above were not applicable to me and will await your reply here.

To Penny (Mo) and Videx (Dave) , As I had already apologised to Lin I failed to see the reason for either of your comments to me. What more was I expected to do, grovel? Mo, I have no issue with you at all but perhaps when you read the above, you will understand the fundamental difference between my perceptions of Elitism as opposed to that of others. In a nutshell I was not just fighting the corner of those who were not on the email list but also that of those who were but just not quick enough to respond. In my mind a book supposedly so important should be offered to all not a minority (as I understand it now is, a fact explained ONLY after comments made by myself and others). So cries of don’t shoot the messenger comes to mind.

TO ALL ;- Before I leave I must say this, I accept Lin is a very genuine person, relatively new to the dog world and in her  eagerness to produce this book her intentions were not to deliberately exclude people, but surely those around her should have had the common sense to see how this, could, indeed would have looked when the majority of the 20 advertisers were obviously bound to be mainly her close and personnel friends. Lin's naivety in this can be understood and forgiven, but I am not naive David and neither are you, so claiming not to be elite when part of a select 20, is a step to far

All comments on this thread lead to Lin being a genuine, caring person, with expertise in the GSd world of photography. 

Where is  ??? Zac ??? coming from with those personal diatribes?  One must look deeper into Zac`s motives and agree that this is the main "oddity" to the thread, no matter what else is said.  No-one has had a personal attack on Lin - which has nothing to do at all with her expertise except for  "Zac"   -  I have to use the inverted comma`s  -  This is some-one with a personal grudge - and even if true - it has nothing to do with her being a valued GSD photographer...   Mo
