Although I like many others have seen Zamp at the sieger show in Germany it was a fantastic experiance to see him being exhibited at Crufts here in the UK. Considering that showing at Crufts is completly alien to how zamp is usually shown I think both he and Lisa deserve respect and admiration for the way in which they both coped with the small ring.  Zamp is an absolutely correct male with no exaggerations something we should all be aiming for when breeding. Thank you to his owners for brining him to the UK and giving us the oppertunity of seeing this stunning dog in our ring at Crufts.

I heard a rumour a couple of weeks ago that Zamp was going to Crufts, I do not show my dogs nor have I ever been to Crufts, Saturday morning I made the decision to go because I wanted to see this dog all the GSD forums are talking about so I packed my O/H my kids and off we went and I am so glad that I did, Zamp took my breath away I feel in love with him, his owners even tho they spoke little English were the nicest people

I cryied when he won Best in Group, I cried in Best in Breed when he never got placed, I went away from Crufts with a feeling of satisfaction, a feeling that there is a German Shepherd who just nobles our breed

It also made me realised that not all breeders breed for the pound but for pure quality........and Zamp is quality

I am glad I found this message board because I have been following this http://www.petfriendlyworld.com/chatforum/showthread.php?t=10848&page=18

Slagging Zamp Down, I do not have the expertise to even reply, I know what I want to say......but I would make a fool out of myself

Congrulations to all who competed there GSD on Saturday, I enjoyed watching you and I cannot believe my O/H and kids stayed till the end.

SUE B

Huge THANKS must go to you for convincing Zamps Owners to bring him to Crufts. I couldn't believe my eyes that we had the priviledge of seeing this OUTSTANDING male up close and personnal. It made my day to see my Imported bitches dad in the flesh and he did not disappoint at all.

Lisa did a fantastic job and her friends and family must be extremely proud of her. Hopefully she has shown the youngsters that there is nothing to be worried of and to get in the rings and handle and maybe some day they to could be in the same spot Lisa found herself. IN THE BIG RING!!!.

Since returning home Zamp and Crufts has been the topic of conversation.

Why do people keep moaning and putting nasty comments on this database??

We should be proud of our breed and encouraging people not slating them. I for one was proud of the dog that Terry Hannan put through to represent our breed in the Main Ring.

I watched on the TV & was thrilled to see this great dog go BOB.  Must have been great to have seen him in the flesh.  His handler had a gentle approach with him & I was relieved that the GSD was not represented in the big group ring with somebody in a track suit!!

Thanks so much for posting the photos on this thread, they were lovely to see & I have enjoyed reading all the positive comments.

His owners are to be commended for making the effort to bring a top dog over for everyone to see & I am so glad that they were rewarded with such success.

Would loved to have seen the run off with Ice.  Maybe next year!
