I have been watching GSL VAs trotting, thrust is excellent but there is one thing I will try to describe, I just feel there is something that stops a further reach, that does not allow the dog to open its shoulder further, might be the the inner room in the joint itself , the concave in the the bone where both shoulder bones join does not allow more opening for a GSL, saying to him that is all forward displacement I can allow you.

And then you have dogs like Dingo who use themselves better than their still photos would indicate. It's all Mother Nature's way of trying to keep dog breeders humble .

We should try to find some videos of GSL females gaiting. Does anyone have any? The female ASL's are going to move like the males, I've seen it. I'm not sure how the GSL females look in motion, they should have better foot timing and cover more ground than their male conterparts.

Oh, and please notice, BOTH dogs have their hocks flat on the ground! Those of you who call the ASLs 'hockwalkers' please note!

Thanks SS for mentioning why I posted the video...That just makes me cringe to see these VA dogs walking and running with the hocks FLAT on the ground ...and they post these videos on public for people to say that is correct?>?

Yes & Petra has VA quality, believe me, if I know anything on German Shepherd, that female of yours would place a VA or high V

I personally think she has great potential.  But that whole litter does.  Her sister in Atlanta is doing well and I think as Paxx continues to mature he will only continue to do better.
