An even more interesting fact about Chicago....
"The districts of Eastern New York, Central California, and Northern Illinois ranked 88th, 89th and 90th, respectively, out of 90 districts, in prosecutions of federal weapons crimes per capita last year..." — but why? Wayne LaPierre has pointed to this study, as if it shows why we don't need more gun laws and we simply need to get serious about the gun laws we already have. Chicago epitomizes a city with a gun violence problem, so why is it "dead last"? — to quote LaPierre.

Why does Chicago have the least federal gun-crime prosecutions?

Frankly I couldn't care less who wants more gun control and who doesn't and why. What I do care about is that the majority is represented when the vote is cast. If it doesn't go my way, I will get over it and live with it.

"please do not forget that it was the republican party and the great GWB who ran this country into near collapse. A few of the self proclaimed geniuses of the forum seem to have a hard time remembering it was also GWB who campaigned for smaller government and then expanded government at break neck speed. And it was also the great republican GWB who signed a piece of legislation taking away more rights than Obama ever will. You people seem to forget all of that and more."
Admin - We will never forget that George W. did not live up to the principles for which he was elected. I don't know any Republicans or conservatives on this forum or elsewhere who would consider him "our hero" based on his policies. Haven't you noticed how we always refer back to Reagan for examples of how things should be done? You can throw Bush in our faces, but at least we admit he was a disappointment. Using Bush's mistakes to make Obama look good is a waste of time. One bad turn does not deserve another.
