Here is your meaning you asked me about. Since I am so confused I thought I might just post it here. Oh smart one.
nig·ger
/ˈnɪgər/ Show Spelled[nig-er] Show IPA
—Usage note
The term nigger is now probably the most offensive word in English. Its degree of offensiveness has increased markedly in recent years, although it has been used in a derogatory manner since at least the Revolutionary War. Definitions 1a, 1b, and 2 represent meanings that are deeply disparaging and are used when the speaker deliberately wishes to cause great offense. Definition 1a, however, is sometimes used among African-Americans in a neutral or familiar way. Definition 3 is not normally considered disparaging—as in “The Irish are the niggers of Europe” from Roddy Doyle's The Commitments —but the other uses are considered contemptuous and hostile.
–noun
1.
Slang: Extremely Disparaging and Offensive .
a.
a black person.
b.
a member of any dark-skinned people.
2.
Slang: Extremely Disparaging and Offensive . a person of any race or origin regarded as contemptible, inferior, ignorant, etc.
3.
a victim of prejudice similar to that suffered by blacks; a person who is economically, politically, or socially disenfranchised.

Then perhaps you would comment on this particular definition? Since it is not used primarily to describe any member of the black race! Notice that it says a victim of prejudging as experienced by blacks! economics politics or social disenfranchisemnet covers all races chooch! Perhaps you will continue your research also in the urban dictionary! Now since the use of the word by african americans is not considered offensive ! Is it because it is used in a contextual application not referencing race or color but character content? why would a black man not be offended when another black man calls him a nigger but only offended when a man not of his race adresses him in that manner? It is now politically incorect to use that term irreguardless of the context of how it is used because you and othrs are to dam stupid to know the difference!

As I thought zero in on the one definition that fits your racist views. Did you not read 1, 2, 3.
I guess you just pick and choose. It is very offensive to some people and a man of the bible should know better. You say you are so true but you use words that you know hurt others some man of the bible you are. You are nothing but a big fake. Do you even go to church?
Who are you trying to impress here?

Hi,
My dog is Grau. (since this was about hair color)
Here is what Fred Lanting says:
The color pattern we in America call "sable" is called "grau" (gray) in Germany. Neither word is fully accurate, but experienced dog people know what is meant.
A hair bulb can manufacture more than one type of melanin, and can alternate production in such a way that some hairs, such as most of those on a sable dog, are dark tipped, followed by a lighter midpiece and an even lighter base (or perhaps a dark base). There may be two shades of yellow: one reddish and the other cream, on one shaft. Sometimes the phaeomelanin (this form produces the non-dark pigment) is concentrated in the tip, and the eumelanin (which produces the black, blue, or liver) is in the base, though not often. The banding or alternating between dark and light sections results in a beautiful variety of colorations in the breed, especially around the neck, withers, and shoulders. The definition of a sable pattern should refer to the guard hairs being tipped with black. The more hairs and the longer that tipping, the darker the dog. The richer the phaeomelanin-influenced parts (undercoat and lower/ventral/leg portions), the more the dog is called a "red sable" instead of a "gray sable" (or faded). The "black sables" are those with much tipping but not always much red underneath.

Lee, the words enlarged above is the bottom line.....EXPERIENCED being the key word......Only people who actually have or had experience with the color sable understand what is meant......However the ones who proclaim experience but really don't have a clue will continue to argue the point, or try to hijack this thread into something else which has no connection to the OP......you can usually tell who these people are because they have no actual experience and have to do the research instead of making a comment from actual experience....Just typical of some on here.....I assume you have experience because at the very least you do have an avatar pic......BTW, Nice looking dog .
Its always the same ones who hijack topics that are really dog related and informative...YogiBear, not meaning you, because at least you kept it on topic about sables......

What would you call this dog's coloring?
Dark Tan Sable?
Obviously he has correct coloring in every way- there's just an interesting tone to his color, and his eyes are light compared to his mask and overlying coloring, which makes them rather striking.
Now, before anyone gets carried away bashing this dog [which I'm not doing- I find the coloring to be correct, but interesting] the picture is from an ad posted by 4pack.
