Speaknow

I fully understand what is going on in the World , Our Country took  its part  in the Iraq War and probably all the others  in what the the USA have been involved with since the last World War,

So Britain  and its govenment is as much to blame as anyone

The rights and wrongs of it is not because of a People dictated to,  But Money ,Its always Money which dictates Wars and as you said the Oil'

But the 80.000.000 Guns and Weapons carried by the people of the USA is horrendous

What Govenment ever allowed that, We all like a free World, but that is almost akin to a Free for All

Take what i want and be Damned with anyone else

Plus The crisis in the USA affects us all, more so for you guys but it does affect all countries

Steve 1-More Rubbish

The IRA called in almost all of their bombs. There was very little collateral damage from those that didnt heed their warnings or with mishaps related to wiring of the explosives.
I dont view those that Resist Occupation as "terrorists" but Rather those that Are the Occupiers. Britian has tried to Occupy Ireland for 800 years. Its called Northern Ireland.. Not Northern Britain. Fools like you cant grasp this. My family is from there, I know a little of the history.

Confederate War-Britian Slaughtered 500,000 Irish, mostly women & Children, Sold another 300,000 Irish into Slavery. Yes Slavery.  This doesnt take into account the Potato Famine, when Irish were deliberately starved or forced to sell their crops to abentee English landlords or face eviction.   Some Irish  lost their homes & Farms, 3,000,000 Died from sickness & Starvation, others risked passage to the USA or Australia.  THis happened  while food rotted in the Irish ports, guarded BY the Brits & not distributed.  Please dont excuse such behavior & keep this in perspective.

Army paper says IRA not defeated,  BBC, UK
July  62007, 19:21 GMT 20:21 UK

An internal British army document examining 37 years of deployment in Northern Ireland contains the claim by one expert that it failed to defeat the IRA.

The admission is contained in a discussion document released by the Ministry of Defence after a request under the Freedom of Information Act.

Shove it up your arse ugly.

This is off topic, why haven't the internet police deleted this ?

The absolute biggest threat to the GSD in the USA or Europe is the people who think they are above all others, and impose they're ideas and standards on others.    NARROW MINDED PEOPLE OF NO VISION.

Brent.

Steve1...One of The 1st Casualties Of the Irish Conflict when the British SAS Occupied was a 9 year old Northern Ireland boy, sleeping in his bed, shot through the head with a tracer bullet.

Forget about the Sunday Bloody Sunday Massacre, did you?    14 Peaceful  Catholic protesters cut down & Massacred in the street by British thugs?  Its Called Northern Ireland, you forget.  Brits have no claim to it.

Or how about the Michael Stone,a Protestant, loyalist,  throwing  a grenade  at a Catholic Funeralwas thrown at the catholic mourners..Heres video.

My you have a selective memory.  The IRA was Formed BECAUSE of the British Occupation, you moron.

Do Right ...  I mean "protect and serve" what ?  You know like the Marines ...  that I will support and defend the Constitution of the United States against all enemies, foreign and domestic. That I will bear true faith and allegiance to the same, that I take this obligation freely, without any mental reservation or purpose of evasion, that I will well and faithfully discharge the duties of the office on which I am about to enter. So help me God.

What does a Police Officer in the USA "protect and serve" ?  Does anyone know the full oath ?

by Uglydog on 19 March 2008 - 17:03

Eagles..some will, some wont. Some will follow direct orders to disarm & kick in doors of Citizens. It happened in New Orleans.  US  Marines trained in downtown Toledo Ohio last weekend in the inner city. It is being planned. GIve this economy a few months-September maybe. And it will get ugly.

2moons falsely pointed out something... We wont be holed up like Waco, Ruby Ridge & Koresh.   There are armed angry citizens , some X military,  that have also begun preparations, planned strategic areas & will take out any threats, police or military,  that move on the US Populace. They know their surroundings & where to hide and/or confront or attack, based on some of what Ive read. Im just a bystander reporting, nothing else. But I do think the time will come.

US economist calls financial crisis worst since 1930s
19 Mar, 2008, 1659 hrs IST, IANS

WELLINGTON: The current financial crisis is the worst the world has seen since the Great Depression of the 1930s and the US Federal Reserve move to cut interest rates will not make much difference, the Nobel Prize winning economist Joseph Stiglitz said on Wednesday.

Stiglitz, who won the Nobel Prize in Economics in 2001, is a former chief of the World Bank and chaired former US president Bill Clinton's council of economic advisers. He is in New Zealand on a lecture tour.

He said the Federal Reserve's move to cut its funds rate by three-quarters of a percentage point was "just trying to ease the economy down rather than try to address the underlying problems."

Stiglitz said the main problem was the fact that an estimated 2 million Americans were going to lose their homes because they could not repay

BabyEagle4U:   There is no "oath" that is taken by police departments, that is consistent and can be stated here as "the oath taken".  Each police  department has there own.  You are obviously getting mixed up about the oath that military personnel take, with one you assumed that police officers take.

Police Officers oath's boil down to as I said, but sometimes have different wording.  "To serve and protect" and/or " To serve mankind".

Military personnel take an oath to "defend their country, Right or Wrong".  That is what makes dessension in the ranks a breach of oath.  A military person by military law and by virtue of the oath they take, in violation when they show or voice dissent about their country and the direction it is taking concerning any issue of war.  It may not be right, but it is a violation for a General or a Private to voice obhections to this war or any military conflict, with the media or otherwise.

They are sworn to defend their country against all enemies, foreign and domestic.  They are sworn to defend their country, right or wrong as they may see it.

Now, one could argue that if their country is doing something against their religion or morals, whcih should take precident, but the oath is the oath.  There is no draft, so everyone that takes these oaths does so voluntarily.

Cops make similar pledges to "keep the peace".  But, in my humble opinion, the term most accurate for a police officers "code", "pledge" or "oath" is to "serve mankind".  That sums it up fairly well.

I'm sure that there is a point that you are trying to make, and I hope I helped a little.  Maybe other cops out there can add something better.

Short answer to your question is "Mankind".

DRFN...Nuremburg proved that following orders, is no defense. If the orders are a violation of the Geneva Convention or Human Rights, one should be opposed..legally & Morally. But sadly, not many care for those ideals, though there is now great dissention in the military.

Admiral Fallon resigning/ leaving this week,  the icing.  Iran is next in the Neo CONs sites, which Fallon said would not happen on his watch.  Get ready for $10 a gallon gas & overnight implosion if it happens, there will need to be a military coup to deal with such orders, imo..

Iran will treat any strike on their naiton as a full scale invasion & will retaliate. They are no patsy, no weakened Iraq, but 3xs the size, 10 million Military members & backed by Russia, Venezuela & China.   In their history, they have never invaded another nation.  But Israel wants strikes, so it looks as though there will be strikes.

I read the Israeli papers daily, war rhetoric there,  is at a fever pitch.
