Yeah but you raw feeders are talking about meat(s) that have been home grown in some cases and if that were possible to do or even to buy somewhere, that would be great. Have not found that source here; all I know is that a lot of local meat markets have meats that come from outside the US.
Call it what you want but don't want to feed fish from China or Indonesia for that matter. Nan

Western Rider: thats not a bad price for your raw meats for the dogs; however if you are talking grocery store/human grade and resturant meats you have to consider that "we" cook our meats, we don't eat them raw. What remains int he meats from anywhere they come from could be a culprit if someone is having GI problems.
Would be interested in where you get your meats also, would love to find a good source at somewhat of a reasonable price...Grass fed beef around here goes from $6.00 per pound and up to $22.00 for filet mignon (sorry SP) so that is our of my price range for feeding my dogs raw grass fed beef; same goes for organic chicken, etc. That is grocery store prices I am quoting.
Thx for sharing Nan

Giebel: great glad you are happy with it; which Orijen are you most fond of; and have you used the other proteins also? Just curious, thx Nan

My GSD loves the orjen 6 fish...but he would also gladly eat some canned boneless sardines or cooked salmon ...he would take that over a steak. orjen is also nice for the coat and no upset bully's or stools. I've used it for the last 7 or 8 years...no complaints.

Anyone had any luck with "ND" dog food? Just curious preferrably the Hering protein forumula? Better prices than some other brands. Thx in advance...Nan
