You know you don't have to wear a helmet if you ride your motorbike in CT! How's that for crazy CT? LOL The right to have the wind whip your hair around is paramount to getting your brains splattered all over the pavement.

Helmet laws; Rhode Island used to be that way IIRC; it may still be. I starting riding at 17. I was absolutely insane in the things I did on a bike (and otherwise), but yet, not once did I take to the streets without a helmet. Strange, but even back then I knew better.

I believe Rhode Island makes the passenger wear a helmet but not the driver. Why one head is deemed better protected than the other, who knows?
It is odd that something like this seems obvious to some— but let me tell you, it is not a rewarding conversation to attempt to tell a bunch of Harley dudes to please put on their helmets when they go riding if they don't have to.
