Hi all;
With ref the recent unprincipled, vicious, cowardly and untrue comment aimed at my wife by the one dimensional anonymous Neanderthal entity “oggy” I would point out the following (to those readers who do not know my wife, rather than the benefit of said pondlife);
My wife is a intelligent, articulate, successful and very attractive woman who:
a) does not dye her hair
b) does not often wear make up (she does not need to do either of the above)
c) is the rock and principle binding agent of the South Cheshire Schutzhund club, perhaps the most stable and certainly currently most successful competition club in the UK. (with just 16 members, it has 11 sch111 dogs, 7 of which will take part in the GSDL WUSV/FCI seletion process in 2010)
is the principle organiser and driving force behind the GSDL National Championships, which every year provides entertainment for hundreds of visitors and competitors alike and is the biggest event of our calendar year
d) is an extremely successful dog handler in her own right; (being far more able than myself, having made 3 dogs now to SCH111). The only thing which prevents her going much further is that she does not wish to
e) is not “Red” on this board
Both Jo and myself have no interest in going to WUSV/FCI as a consequence of cretins like “oggy”- who would like to holiday with such individuals (I am fairly sure of the identity of this person, whom I believe to be a BAGSD member)
I expect to be a target for these idiots, having placed myself in the line of fire by historically standing up to their bullying and cheating. I am used to it as a consequence of these circumstances, and also being a professional within the UK Criminal Justice System. I do not expect my wife, who has done nothing wrong, to be so targeted.
I wonder, nevertheless, how any decent person can remain a member of this organisation when people who are deemed (mistakenly, in this case) to be questioning the actions and behaviour of individuals and the EC are subject to such blatant, cowardly and potentially harmful personal attacks. A pattern of this historic behaviour seems to be developing again; very harmful comment were made recently with regard to Dave Payne's wife.
Ultimately pondlife exists in all walks of society. It only survives and flourishes however in an environment where it is allowed to. One of the reasons latterly why I have given up commenting on the situation in the UK is that on our sidewalk the residents seem quite happy to allow these criminals to get away with it.

I have no idea who Oggy is - and one thing for certain is that after his malicious rantings he could never have the chance to show his real name. As you rightly state, Rhoda and Dave became victim of his/her deranged rantings.
May I speak for millions of us that read that thread, when I feel I can safely say that we were as disgusted as the comments warranted. Anyone who thought Oggy had any valid points at all - at that point, stopped reading I am sure.
Regarding your wife and her activity in the South Cheshire Sch. Club - wow, I for one am certainly impressed - and I am sure that if Oggy had a husband or wife, they would not be able to be clear in their mind enough to flourish, with such nonsense going around the family table. I wish that this board didnt accept anons, but with the fact that they do, there are some people for very good reasons that we all know go on - certainly in BAGSD - feel they need to make a point but are afraid of reprisals.... how disgusting that is, but its a fact for now.. However, this moron oggy is just the sort of anon that makes it difficult to keep a useful thread going.

Chris: The BAGSD are full of "pondlife" - and they have extreme scum within VPG.

The ignorant oaf Oggy thinks that if he causes a stink with printing lies and shit, people will forget all the very real and valid points raised about the EC. Rather than making up crap about individuals who continue to do loads for the sport, why not answer the questions raised on this thread.
People reading this thread aren't stupid, it's easy to see when those snide cheap comments are made by Oggy or any of the other aliases he uses, its because they want to distract people from the very real issues being raised about what I'm sure was once an honourable organisation. How can the BAGSD membership sit back and watch their EC drag their organisation down to such an all time low level, it beggars belief!!
The following situation is an international joke - GSDL working branch with 23 clubs and approx 45 sch 3 dogs not to mention the huge numbers of dogs training at BH, Sch 1 and Sch 2 levels and then we have BAGSD VPG - !!!
Look at the VPG website - numbers of clubs etc, blatant lies to make it look like they are a credible organisation. How many sch 3 dogs in the organisation???
No amount of character assasanation and snide cheap comments will conceal the facts. One is a truely democratic organisation that serves its membership, the other run by one family and a few of their immediate cronies in such an obviously self serving manner if it wasn't so hideous it would be laughable!!
I read these forums and try not to get drawn into the nonsense - but when dick heads make cruel and nasty attacks on good people just to smoke screen I feel I have no choice but to comment.
I'm a member of the GSDL working branch, I have no axe to grind with the BAGSD, I have no ambitions to go to the WUSV or FCI, I'm sure I'm part of the normally silent dog training majority who are just getting fed up of bullying oafs trying everything they can to distract people (their members and others), from looking at the facts.

Excellent post Keir: When the few decent people in BAGSD-VPG move over or back to the GSDL Working Group, it will surely improve progress for Working Dogs in the UK.
Some written reports to the Kennel Club, about the numerous occurrences within BAGSD-VPG are surely well overdue!

KP1, it's all a bit irrelevant how many VPG branches BAGSD say they have on their website for as you correctly pointed out, it is all lies and that is because actually they dont have any, no not even one!!
If any of you decide to take up Videx suggestion of writing to the KC about BAGSD-VPG you must be aware that as the numbskull's who run this EC couldnt even manage to Register the branches with the correct title, when you write to the KC you must bare this in mind and remember that to the KC the BAGSD VPG branches dont exist, as far as the KC is concerned its BAGSD VTD !!!! Think it stands for Virtually Titled Dog or something like that !!!
Now Keil, here's a point for you to ponder on:-

I didnt say that Fairplay, what I said was anyone wishing to report BAGSD;s VPG to the KC would be well advised
to mention the fact that although these branches are referred to as BAGSD VPG (the term actually intended and used) they have all being incorrectly Registered with the KC as BAGSD - VTD Branches !!
Now not only would this highlight a further error, it would help save any confusion which might occur within the KC department attempting to deal with your (or anyone elses) problem in regard to these VPG (Albeit VTD branches).
