Denise,
Its OK We are doing on online seminar I hope you did not take offense to my remark,
I just simply replied to your statement that you rather have The Basic Position and not the focus of obedient.
So i assumed a picture in my head of what you meant and since i can only imagine the look i respectfully responded.
OK are we still online friends ??

"Happy Dog is doing well, she knows what "look" means, but she isn't interested in doing it sometimes. My trainer says I need to work more on "get it" drive games.........
I've been working on the yard for the past few days another 2 to 3 8 hour days and I'll be done..........I'm sooooo tired.
Carlo is now owned by Vansant.......Saw him do his thing on the night I failed my BH. The dog was spot on! Its all a game to him. I want to be there.

As for the second picture,my boyfriends DDR/showline male "TJ" I am going for his BH the end of this month. In the picture above we had just done an about turn, I know he has his rear end a little out..hehe. He is a very happy working dog and is always wanting to work....whether it be tracking, Obedience or protection. He drags me out the the field. From what dogs I have trained and also trained with I know that TJ could go National level NO PROBLEM. But it is up to my boyfriend if he wants me to take TJ that far, as he can not come to training since he works weekends.
Xena, who is the one in the last picture sitting in the heel position doing a "watch"..yes she is a Czech female. She is my first Czech dog. She is a joy to work. She is very happy and very willing to please but can be a tad stubborn sometimes.
The one thing that I ALWAYS want to see when any dog is working, not just mine or the ones that I train, is a dog that is happy doing the work and wants to be with his handler. Yes I want focus and the correct position all the time and that is what I strive for. I must agree that to watch a dog with awesome focus and in the correct postion is like watching a "dance" between dog and handler. It is something that is truely breathtaking to watch.....I know I know us dog people are amazed at the wierdest things..hehe.

I know what you mean. It is a joy to watch a nice OB routine. I love to watch the ones where the dog and handler are a true "team". It is obvious in the video or picture that the handler is enjoying working with the dog and the dog is loving working for his/her handler.
