I want proof that what's you're seeing is actually red.  Prove it.

And what if I look at the same thing and see green?  Even with all of your "evidence", how can disprove that I'm not seeing green?

by beetree on 07 December 2011 - 13:12

I"m taking away your driver's license~ JK

If you are the only one in the universe, it won't matter what you call the color that you think you see. Since you don't live in a bubble we have to trust you to know what we mean when we say we see the color green. If you keep running red lights because you say it is green and then cause a serious accident, we will consider that proof enough that you do not see the color green like we do, or you are a big fat liar.

I'm not talking about red lights, I'm talking about the color of the shape in front of you.  PROVE to me that it's red and it's red that I'M seeing.

And if you really want to talk about the "red" lights, if I'm seeing green, then to me, what you call red and I see as green, would still allow me to stop at the light.  It's all perspective and what we're been taught.  If someone is telling me the light is red, then I'll call the color in front of me "red".  But please PROVE it's actually the color my eyes are "seeing".

by beetree on 07 December 2011 - 13:12

That depends Travels, if you are not really paying attention to colors, but instead, the order of the colors lighting up in a traffic light.

This is just going to be a merry go round, now, so I'll get off and let others play. Short of dissecting your eyeballs for missing rods and cones, no one can tell what you call whatever it is you think you see. Like I said, we have to trust our communication first.

And let's say that the cones and rods in my eyes are showing me something different?  Which is "right"?  To which I still say, PROVE that it's RED that I'm SEEING.
