 No one gives a shit about your pitiful rationalizations for using such a pejorative ethnic slur, we all know exactly what the word means and exactly what you mean when you say it.   The fact is the word is derived from the word "Negro" and historically is used as a pejorative ethnic slur, and more importantly you have been asked by people of color to refrain from using it because they find it insulting, yet you persist.  This speaks to your character - or lack thereof.

Today's ironic musing of the day.

You know Sock Puppet, I trained with one old Guy for over 10 years in Martial Arts, Never went to train at any club, Well after a year of working with him and i may say it took nearly 13 months to persuade him to work and teach me Well after around a year i had not got any colour belt, I got impatient and i asked him why i did not earn a grade so i could get a belt this was after mixing with friends who trained in clubs and got there grades,
The Old man said to me after asking him several times,  He said why do you need a belt of colour to hold up your pants when you already have a belt on now, He said you will know and i will know in time you do not need any colour belt to prove anything to anyone
I never asked him again, However as time went by and i entered competitions i was undefeated at my weight well almost beaten twice but beat the Guys who beat me twice over  and 34 contests later still top at my weight till i got an injury which stopped it
But this old Guy taught me more than normal and it stood me in good stead when i joined HM Forces and the knowledge i had  of close quarter combat kept me alive in some tricky situations so i was forever grateful to that old man and when i came home he said i have been waiting for you to return, around two or  three months later he was gone more of a Father than my own by far,
I recommend that every youngster learn a bit and certainly the girls even the raw basics can make a difference should the occasion arise  so it is worth the work to know a little, However that was many years ago for me but a part i will remember and it stood me in good stead when i was mugged from behind by two Yobs on a weekend vist to the UK a couple of years ago, so even age does not stop your brain from reacting immediately when in trouble

I have never had to use the training that I have received. I do not still do martial arts but I have the training and I was once a black belt.

I started to tell you this a while ago, even if we ever did meet and you wanted to fight I would not fight you period. I respect my elders to a certain degree and would never fight someone your age unless it was life or death.

I have told you numerous times I respect you and actually like you and for the most part enjoy reading about you training Izzy and of course love seeing her pics.

I still have that steak and potato dinner ready when you get to the states.

Raymond, you can twist things any way you'd like, but if you think you're showing superior intelligence because you're skewing the original, and so hurtful meaning, and morphing it into something you deem more acceptable, you're showing your lack of intelligence, or ignorance.  The meaning you put behind a word means nothing to the person recieving it, especially when you're aware of its impact in a normal conversation, and why.  If that's your defense, it's lame.  You were told more than once that the words you were using were personally offensive to people on the board, including me.  Once it's made clear that it's offensive to hear, YOUR intent no longer matters... it's offensive to say, period
