Please do not read more into my post than it said.  In terms of POLITICAL DISCOURSE - the posts that I've read thus far from Ugly dog - do not seem offensive.  In POLITICAL DISCOURSE- it is often heated and polarized.  That being said - I've only seen three or four of his posts - so sue me.  It appears the readers here are clearly not careful in their critical reading skills.

I, too, have seen you repeatedly elevate langage and, in doing so, misuse words.  it appears to me that you are attempting to be that which I suspect you are not.  I see you are intimating you are a lawyer.  Well, I AM a lawyer and have been for many years and I suspect you are not, or your reading and language would be of much greater accuracy.    

You state:  you have pontificated about so many things about which you obviously know little or nothing, including the uglydog threads, as an example.

I believe you are "projecting" my dear.  I have no need to "pontificate" - and have never "pontificated" anything about Uglydog, merely stating that of the posts I've seen, I didn't find them as particularly offensive - but they don't belong on a dog websire - I've repeated that numerous times as well.  Again, it is your lack of understanding of the word "pontificate" that illuminates your lack of true language knowledge. 

Please feel free to point to a post where I have "pontificated", LOL!

I do suggest you use a dictionary and reduce your language to that which you are confortable.

That being said - I also suspect your knowledge of GSDs far surpasses mine.  The knowledge of many here far surpasses mine in that area - so no thanks, I'll stick around.  But if you want to continue with the unprovoked  personal attacks, you may not be happy with the result in terms of the written repercussions you may invite.

I think part of the problem, with all due respect, is that you have not been around very long and yes, you are missing a lot on the topic of Uglydog and other issues that have been festering some time. Of course, you are free to make your own decision.

On the topic of UglyDog, he is bound to come back and post really hateful material that is really offensive and completely without merit (from a political discourse perspective). No one begrudges anyone an opportunity to express one's reasoned opinion. An OT post here or there, even a political post, is not always an issue. It is what he posts that is the issue. He is incapable of reason and discourse because his hatred is so great. Maybe you will find it acceptable, but I don't and I think most here find it offensive. It is also irritating that we cannot have a discussion about any topic on the forum when he is around without his "hijacking" it and turning it into a tirade on Jews and Israel. 

Secondly, I will let Mystere speak for herself. Unfortunately, you and she seem to be on a rocky path currently.  I bet if you simmer down, and she understands what you are writing (I did not either initially) , perhaps you will find you both have something in common. Like me, she speaks her mind. I agree with most of what she normally says as it is well thought out and not namby pamby. She is a long time member here with a lot of good experience and ideas.

Just be patient and you may find that who you think is an enemy really is not.

We can disagree over each other's "qualifications" until the cows come home. Your accusations of me, frankly, are precisely how I  view YOU. The difference is that I don't feel the need to constantly attempt to support or bolster my postition and/or credibility by constantly stating that "I am a lawyer."   It rarely is of any relevance to the topic and generally not germane to the issues  of gsds at all.   btw--"pontificate" means to speak (write) in a pompous and dogmatic manner. 


As you have admitted, your statement concerning Ugly's posts is based on only a FEW posts. Others of us have read scores of them. As a new person to this thread, and an attorney, you should have been able to realize that perhaps you did not have all the facts, before making your statements.   If you look at Ugly's avatar, you will see how many posts he has made.  

. As for your personal threat, go for it, buddy. :-) I stand by my statements and word useage.  i am quite comfortable with it.  i say what I mean and I mean what I say..Your response has borne out my statements, and word usage, so thank you for making my point. :-)

btw-- Many on this forum know my name and know me personally. I am a lawyer, but I never felt the need to actually state such prior to this.    I am a member of the bar in California and Washington. As a new person, few, if any, know your real identity. Who are you? As you have made so much of being a lawyer, where are you admitted?

Nothing personal, but in general I've never met one that I found to be worthy of my respect.

Unless you are still wet behind the ears, or an articled sutdent, I sincerely doubt your legal credentials, based on your lack of both language skills and the language you have used on for law related discussions.  The only time I posted that I was a lawyer was based on law related issues - certainly not dogs.  I am not inclined to disclosed where I have been called to the bar, clearly there are factions, such as yourself that are more inclined to post emotional rhetoric and I do not know you or anyone else well enough to ensure my information would not be misused - besides, I am here to learn about my dogs. 

That being said - I have been here only a short time and I knew you were at least pretending to be a lawyer - so if you haven't posted it, you've clearly intimated it.  I still don't believe it.

Not that it matters, dearie, but now that you understand "pontificate" you ought to be able to see that it does not apply to me nor on my post about Uglydog.  I have taken the opportunity to see some of the past posts between you and him - but your anger at him ought to have nothing to do with me. 

Move on.  Grow up.  And next time - think - before you make nasty allegations against a poster that is unwarranted.
