hmmm... I would actually agree with about 80% of what is being said here today.  With that said, I would like to post an email that I received from a trainer a few months ago:

Dear Chrissy,
I had an opportunity to see a six month black bitch evaluated for
working/sport. The person doing the evaluation has trained working dogs
for the past 30 years and is a breeder of some of the nicest Dobes in the
US. Your puppy really represented herself outstandingly.
She has EXCELLENT nerve, very good prey, and strong controlled
aggression.
This bitch has a very nice head with excellent bone. Her drives are not
just good but very self confident. This was her first time doing any formal
assessment away from home the owner told me. I told him I will take
this bitch in a minute if he wants to let her go. He laughed as he is a
police officer and knows what he has.Another K9 officer was present and felt
the bitch could easily become a patrol dog if she continues with her growth
and development.
Congratulations on breeding a very nice puppy bitch!

I have posted this email before.  Only because I am so proud of it.  It is something that is very dear to my heart.   The gentleman that purchased my little girl, also purchased another female from Cliff.  The pups are only a few weeks apart in age.  Cliff stated to me in a phone conversation, that he (cliff) would of picked my little female over his own breeding.  Here's the thing, though....  this pup came from "untitled" parents!!!  As a matter of fact, out of this litter, 3 are in SAR training, 3 are doing SchH, another is going into LE work, (besides this one in the email), 2 in family homes.....and so on.

Now, before I get jumped on, (as I know I will)....both parents were xrayed, were in excellent health, wonderful temperment, nice drive, pedigrees researched, etc.  I understand that some don't even bother to do this, as I did.  Yes, I am getting into SchH a little late, but I am also in the process putting a title on the Dam.

So yes, I believe that "titles" are WAY overratted in most cases.

Hi Marlene, thanks for the kudos.  I'm just plain in love with the dog.  He's more than I'd expected or hoped for.  His looks remind me just a little of an Alaskan Timberwolf.  I showed up in Bolcholt expecting to see a middle sized dog and they took a big powerful wolf looking dog out of the kennel...wow.  I'll send you email.  I'm walking on clouds.
