I only don´t like the theory of the "5 lines" .
This is about theories only, not about the result.

it gets even more ridiculous, if that's possible, you do not even look at the parents/grandparents etc;

 

it is line 5 therfore it will be XXXXX and to hell with knowing the parent's name.

 

what happens when you mix line 3 and 5 do you get a dog with traits of line 4?

 

tell me what line it is from 1 - 5 and i will tell what the dog is.....so belligerent and arrogant.

 

why do people even post peds, just post what line from 2 - 5......or in javir's case line 1.

 

all these dumb-ass breeders like duke, sportswafen and staatsmacht actually work and evalute the parents then they evaluate every pup in the litter to know what they got, just state what line it is and be done with it.

 

my dog has ingo on both sides in fact, screw training, screw anyone's opinion, it is line whatever it is so that's what it is enuff said.

VK, come on, I don't think that is nice at all. Though Joanro-Susie-Duke and to some extent Blitzen oppose the 5 or 6 lines criteria they kept the discussion intelligent, let's keep it that way please without mocking, one last point "your opinion is correct and has a probability of being wrong", same goes for the opposite opinion. 

We may not agree with Prager on certain views, but he is a valuable source of info and knowledge, no doubt and it is good for us who like to learn to have him share his opinion and experience, same as Gustav, Duke, and all the good guys.

If showline breeders kept using a "crazy" male from the work line every two or three generations, maybe the breed would still be in a better state today, and work line breeders would still breed to outstanding males from the show for more stability and versatility !!!!
