Now if you had sent him back permanently, you'd never have discovered this improved relationship 
. Its my guess that the separation from you, coupled with a deeper understanding of what you are doing on your part, has made this happen. So glad ! Wishing you and your dog both, all the best for the future.

So you sent him to "boot camp" and he came back a reformed dog, lol. Without being too anthropomorphic, it sounds like he learned to appreciate being home, instead of at the kennel all by himself since he annoyed all the other dogs. Now you can capitalize on his eagerness to be with you, and make yourself the centre of his world. Good luck, and glad to hear that he is responding to the 'program'.
