Nice to see you back posting RedS. So you think I am what? Irrational? Crazy? Mad? I don't think so. I think  am pretty darn sane.

From Dorners manifesto :

“Who in there right mind needs a fucking silencer!!! who needs a freaking SBR AR15? No one. No more Virginia Tech, Columbine HS, Wisconsin temple, Aurora theatre, Portland malls, Tucson rally, Newtown Sandy Hook. Whether by executive order or thru a bi-partisan congress an assault weapons ban needs to be re-instituted. Period!!! Mia Farrow said it best. “Gun control is no longer debatable, it’s not a conversation, its a moral mandate.”

“Give Piers Morgan an indefinite resident alien a Visa Card. Mr. Morgan, the problem that many American gun owners have with you and your continuous discussion of gun control is that you are not an American citizen and have an accent that is distinct and clarifies that you are a foreigner. I want you to know that I agree with you 100% on enacting stricter firearm laws.”

“Wayne LaPierre, President of the NRA, you’re a vile and inhumane piece of shit. You never even showed 30 seconds of empathy for the children, teachers, and families of Sandy Hook.”

He sounds like BeeTree's kinda sane. Roll eyes

So, he makes a point I can agree with, it still doesn't give rationality or the acceptance of his murderous acts. You don't grasp that, I know.

Sometimes Preston would make sense, too.

The shooting of the two women in the truck wasn't accidental, it was a gross case of misconduct. If the cops doing the shooting had done their due diligence in identifying the occupants of the truck they wouldn't have fired a single shot. Since when does any police department have a shoot first, ask questions later policy?

It's a sad when a person trying to do the right thing gets railroaded like Christopher has. It's not like he got fired recently and just snapped, it appears he went through all the proper channels to resolve his issues and ended up getting the same hand dealt to him that anyone would facing our corrupted system. The same corruption that has sadly leached into every facet of government. I don't condone this type of action, however it appears if we want to invoke change, anything short of a revolution will be ineffective.

Really,  jumping over a seat and choking someone is rational? Oh boy. And don't you think a really rational person who really cared about being recognized for his superior morals and ethics, could have tried to find another Police Department where he might have been a better fit?  Even if they were the worst bully precinct ever known to exist in all of policehood, why would he thnk that staying or killing were his only options?

Am I the only rational one on here?

For anyone interested in some of the acronyms used in the manifesto, this was sent to me by someone:

CENTCOM
U.S. Central Command (CENTCOM) is one of 10 combatant commands in the United States military
http://www.centcom.mil/about-u-s-central-command-centcom

ISR (Intelligence, Surveillance and Reconnaissance)
Encompasses multiple activities related to the planning and operation of systems that collect, process, and isseminate data in support of current and future military operations.

OSINT
Open-source intelligence (OSINT) is intelligence collected from publicly available sources.

IMINT
Imagery intelligence (IMINT), is an intelligence gathering discipline which collects information via satellite and aerial photography. As a means of collecting intelligence, IMINT is a subset of intelligence collection management, which, in turn, is a subset of intelligence cycle management. IMINT is especially complemented by non-imaging MASINT electro-optical and radar sensors.

HUMINT
Human Intelligence (frequently abbreviated HUMINT) is intelligence gathered by means of interpersonal contact, as opposed to the more technical intelligence gathering disciplines such as Signals Intelligence, Imagery Intelligence and MASINT.

NMITC in Dam Neck
It is the Navy and Marine Corps Intelligence Training Center. They Deliver entry-level, mid-career, and advanced all source naval intelligence training for enlisted and officer students directly supporting Fleet, Navy-Marine Corps team, and intelligence community requirements for trained-and-ready intelligence professionals, to achieve decision superiority.

NIPR or NIPRNET
The "NIPRNET," the Unclassified but Sensitive Internet Protocol Router Network (formerly called the Non-secure Internet Protocol Router Net), is a network of Internet protocol routers owned by the Department of Defense (DOD). Created by the Defense Information Systems Agency (DISA), NIPRNET is used to exchange unclassified but  sensitive information between "internal" users. It can thus be distinguished from the Secret Internet Protocol Router
Network (SIPRNET), which is used by the DOD to exchange classified information in a totally secure environment. NIPRNET is also increasingly used by the DOD to allow its personnel to gain access the Internet without
leaving their own computers open to "reverse entry" by hackers, foreign militaries, terrorists, etc etc.

SIPR or SIPRNET
See aforementioned

DA operations = Direct Action
DA operations are short duration strikes and other small scale offensive operations principally undertaken by SOF to seize, destroy, capture, recover, or inflict damage on designated personnel or material. In the conduct of these operations, SOF may employ raid, ambush, or direct assault tactics; emplace mines and other munitions; conduct stand off attacks by fire from air, ground or maritime platforms; and provide terminal guidance for precision weapons, conduct independent sabotage, and anti-ship operations.

JAM, New Ba’ath party, 1920 rev BGE, ACM, AAF, AQAP, AQIM and AQIZ
All are extremist groups

SA-7 MANPADS
Man-portable air-defense systems are shoulder-launched surface-to-air missiles (SAMs). They are typically guided weapons and are a threat to low-flying aircraft, especially helicopters.

He wasn't fired over that particular incident was he? I would imagine most people would react in a similar manner given the set of circumstances. If what he says in his manifesto is true, it would be a refreshing change too have more people stand up and do the right thing instead of ignoring the problem. People giving up and choosing the easy way out has gone on for too long and has enabled this type of corruption to become the norm.  I don't condone his actions, but I respect him for fighting the system and it's sad this is how far he's had to take the fight.

Good job. It all becomes clearer now.

Bee, if it was you lying in a hospital bed full of bullet holes, would you still feel they did what was understandable?  Or better yet, your child?  Bet you are glad you don't live in LA or drive a pick up truck.
(thanks for the WB, wish I could see where you are coming from here)

Good post Fell, I agree.  It is very hard going against the grain, I'm sure we all see dishonest co-workers in our lives, on a much smaller level, but how many of us stand up to them?

What moons said about power breeding corruption is very true.
