Remember dogs think in Black & White...NO Gray areas... ... ...I think people over-think what dogs are thinking about...In short dogs and their training isn't Brain Surgery...

Ain't that the truth!

Jim I think our difference is in definition. I have met dogs that were great working dogs..... just a touch, well, touched. Not completely "sane." (using sane in my understanding).

gagsd4,
I have met many SL dogs, mutts, WL and ASL dogs that were not completely "sane" or had poor or weak temperaments or just plain nerve bags.  I still don't think that all dogs that won't allow kids to pet them are "insane" or "touched."   Not every working dog is a GSD in poodle fur, some are very strong, very sane and do not want to be bothered by strangers.

I will say that dogs should not show inappropriate aggression to children for no reason.  But, a dog that doesn't want to be handled, groped, hugged or hung on by strange unruly kids is not necessarily "touched."

"Keith, yes, I got my dog from Nate."

Good choice, in my opinion.  I like what I am seeing from his dogs' work and my overall impression of his breeding program is one of consistency.
