THere are already 4 big companies in Tyler saying they will have to drop Health Ins and let the government carry it.
Mother Francis hospital also issued a statement today saying Health care will change considerably. THE charity hospital will no longer, according to mandate they already have , by OBAMA started 2012 on who they can see and how much they are allowed to write off as charity and they already have drs. who cannot see you because they do not and will not take less for their services.
Dr offices here are turning people down and saying due the the new mandates, they cannot see new patients who have medicare..which is ME>
I have only one clinic I can go and it is sit and wait to see what ever dr. I can find who if they are busy to 6pm and cannot see me, I go home.
You cannot make any dr take your insurance or take you as a patient..THE new laws they got thrown in their book keeping depts. on jan of this year are far more than they have time and had to hire new accountants and even lawyers to make sure they do it all correct. There are signs in my sons Heart Dr. office about if you do not have ins..you are not gonna see their DRS>. AND if your Ins. comp doesn't abide by the new rules they cannot see you as their patient.
IT was caos at their office when he went for his first and only appointment after his heart attack.
THE state agency who is suppose to pay his bills as a hurt employee of an accident under state mandate because his WC won't step up as awarded by a court of LAW. and 5 lawyers told us, they do not make money on WC cases so they won't take his case or sue the company who is his carrier of Workmans COMP..YOU cannot make any hospital see you nor can you make a DR take your insurance if they do not want to...IF you have not been there and seen it and walked in the shoes of some of the most difficult health problems in our State, you have no clue. THE 25 immigrants sitting in the office get their service..THEY have medicaid . IT is given to them..MY son worked and got maimed on the job and was awarded Lifetime medical attention thru cna , an insurance company who tells the dr..WE do not like that treatment so we wont pay for it...NO he cannot have a sensor for pain injected in his back..we do not think he needs it... THE INSURANCE COMPANY tells the DR what to do or what not to do..THE doctors told son, sorry but no INS company is gonna tell me, DR> Catalina how to treat my pain patient..SORRY but you will hve to find another doctor..
FOLKS , this is a government run program that does not work so how to you think this one would work..DOctors are not gonna let any insurance company tell them how to treat nor how much to charge these insurance regulated government reserves set up for all who have no insurance...NOT gonna fly.
Been there done that and it DOES NOT WORK>
I have talked to 5 men injured in the war and the doctors at the VA hospital lie and do not want to put on paper the truth of what is really wrong with them , because they can only treat so many patients and they can only prescribe this or that etc..THE Laugh of the many injured veterans, who got no raise for 2 years on their SS benefits nor seniors either do not get proper care under the USA government now so why would you think they can ramrod this program?????

I am done with this thread as rumors, spin of the right and outright non-sense are starting to prevail. Obviously Chief Justice Roberts sees it differently than the naysayers. Keep spinning folks and again thank you Justice Roberts for doing the right thing.
Also, at least my family and I will get affordable health insurance despite a pre-existing condition.

by Bhaugh on 29 June 2012 - 05:06
The problem with this 1000 page bill is that, to my knowledge, no one has set premium rates. If those who have pre existing conditions think their insurance will be AFFORDABLE, your mistaken. I work with insurance companies all day long. Insurance companies will cover you, BUT YOU WILL PAY. If people think that insurance companies will loose money over this by covering high risk patients, think again.
The good Chief justice has great insurance and won't probably ever need to worry about what the middle class person is getting.
I've been saying to coworkers for a while now, even before this bill was even a thought, doctors will opt out of taking ANY insurance and cash pay their patients. I'm seeing it now and I don't expect it to lesson. Mandating health coverage will NOT fix the problem but it sure as hell is going to hasten physicians to opt out of it.

THEY do not have to take you as a patient period.
IT is government Health care., the State has to provide reserves companies to take all those who do not qualify for Medicaid...
Medicaid will be an OPT OUT>. Texas will not do it. THEY have said already. DARS is already broke for 2012..
State money pays for that agency to help disabled workers and people to be rehabilitated if their insurance companies refuse to pay. THis is a joke now.
Doctors will tell you pay cash or not going to see you as a patient.
SO you go to another doctor and sit for hours as the patient loads are already heavy because of Medicare and medicaid patients now searching for any doctor they can , because so many doctors offices are closing...THE Sadler Clinic in Conroe being one of them . 79 years of one of the biggest clinics in Texas...6 offices in 4 cities...all closed last week...GONE>
The 25 doctors left last year when OBAMA care already mandated new laws you evidentually are not privy to, and the clinic now had to operate with only 30 left. NOW they are all gone...Sadler Clinic is closed.
The freight of the care of men and women in the system now have to find doctors for how many patients in COnroe, THe Woodlands, and surrounding cities??????
This is just one tale and one case. THERE are many others all over the USA>
THe problem in usa is never gonna be eliminated, but the solution is THE COST problem of medical care because of waste , fraud and inefficient market, being the Insurance COmpanies control the books at all Drs. Offices. YOU ask how much to pay for my shoulder surgery if I pay cash and they look like a Tornado hit the desk..THEY do not have an answer...Because their is no list for that..THEY have lists for Insurance com. , medicaid and medicare rates only...
Messed up for sure.
My ex boyfriend is a Dr.

Could the Sadler Clinics closure have to do with the lawsuits against it and its pending bankruptcy and the treatment of the Drs working for them?
Now I am done because the lies, rumors and spin are way to much. No one knows what will happen in the future, not even people in the medical and insurance fields, no one knows what the future will hold and to suggest otherwise is putting the cart before the horse.

Clinic lawsuit affecting patients around county
A legal dispute at Sadler Clinic is leaving thousands of patients in Montgomery County without the ability to see their regular doctors.A group of 24 Sadler physicians representing about one-quarter of the doctors in the practice resigned from Montgomery County's largest medical practice and are suing the facility over a non-compete clause, which requires them to move offices at least 22 miles away for 18 months after leaving Sadler.
The lawsuit arose after three physicians - Joel Kerschenbaum, John V. Peet and Christopher K. Robertson were fired by Sadler in March for negotiating with outside medical entities and referring patients to specialists outside the clinic.
They disagree on the way Sadler Clinic is run and managed," said Chris Hanslik, a Houston attorney representing the displaced doctors.
In turn, Sadler Clinic filed a counterclaim against the doctors, saying the mass resignation was a conspiracy to destroy the clinic. The issue involves a new compensation plan approved in March 2008 that provides what the clinic said is more equitable payments for general practitioners and specialists.
Make no mistake about it, these doctors are motivated purely by lucre, and not a lick by the patients for whom they express concern," said the counterclaim.
Sadler Clinic is the largest medical practice in Montgomery County with 10 offices, 110 physicians, 30 specialty areas, and 700 health care professional. The practice has a total of 500,000 patients, and many have been left scrambling for appointments and new doctors.
For patients, like Donna Corley of Conroe, it is all about losing long-term doctors who have been instrumental in their health care.
Corley was in pain and unable to function about 10 years ago when she was referred to Dr. Kevin Keyes. With exercise and maintenance treatment every three weeks, she has been pain-free without medication, surgery or injections.
Corley's husband also lost two doctors to the rift, Keyes and his primary care doctor Randy Martin.
It's traumatic," Corley said. We're praying really hard. We are hoping Sadler will understand it's not about the clinic or the organization. It's about the patience and their care.
Eric Hererra, a spokesman for Sadler, said all affected patients were notified by mail about the resignations, and remaining doctors are adding hours to accommodate more appointments.
The clinic also is offering a patient advocate line at 1-888-7-SADLER to identify new doctors or fill appointments. The only specialty lost is a hand-orthopedic surgeon, but a replacement has been hired and will start within 90 days, Hererra said.
We have rescheduled appointments for every patient that wants to be seen," Hererra said.
Some of the doctors who resigned will remain at the clinic for several days or week. Many of the doctors who are leaving Sadler Clinic have set up a web site called www.wheredidmydoctorgo.com to help patients contact their physicians.
While the doctors are at risk of being sued if they treat patients in Montgomery County, Robertson said he is communicating with patients through e-mails and phone calls and assisting them with prescription refills. The doctors want to keep their practices in Montgomery County.
Robertson, one of the doctors fired in March, said he was shocked," when the executive director terminated him on March 26 and asked him to gather his personal items and leave the building.
Although there was 30 day termination clause in his contract, Robertson said he was not allowed to follow up with patients on lab results, medical studies or medical monitoring.
A lot of my patients under my care needed follows," said The Woodlands-based general practitioner They said we'll have it taken care of. You have no medical or legal responsibility. But I do have an ethical and moral responsibility."
Since that time, patients have continued to flood his phone with calls, with some even crying over the loss of his services.
There has been lot of phone calls and e-mails," said Robertson. They are upset at what happened and angry at Sadler. They said they would move with me, wherever I go. The support has been amazing."
Robertson estimates the resignations could affect 50,000 to 60,000 patients in the Montgomery County areas at a time when the county is short about 20 general physicians already.
The lawsuit comes on the heels of the case of Nora C. Hart, who was sued by Sadler Clincfor violating the non-compete clause. The case is scheduled to come up before Judge of 9th District Court on April 26. A total of 17 of the physicians in the lawsuit against Sadler were approved as intervener in the Hart case.

I know one of the head nurses that worked there. My ex boy friend is affliated with it..SO i know a lot more than what that article deems to be the reasons..
The media and the lawyers post a lot of the mess and some of it is not true and a lot of it is.
THE new Mandates on Jan 2012 also made it impossible for them to cure or even try to get business inplace and have the money available to satisfy the new rules concerning payment to the Federal government and the State and meet all NEW rules...in the wake of what they were already handling.
They got hit BIG time at a TIME when they had BIG problems..no one said anything different..I do not have to, it is in print.
YR
They could not DIVORCE the problems they had quick enough\ to meet the new mandates given in January.
Plus many other Insurance problems

This clinic was having trouble paying bills long before Obama care and the only reason I am posting is to show that your spin/information is non-sense.

Bankruptcy Attorney | Bankruptcy Imminent For Sadler Clinic?
June 15, 2012 by
A report from a Houston failure attorney to someone dependent with Sadler Clinic states that salaried employees who have not been paid will be scheduled as a “priority creditor” in failure action.
Attorney Kyung S. Lee, an associate with Houston law definite Diamond McCarthy LLP, would not approve any promising failure filing for Sadler Clinic, that closed its doors May 31, throwing hundreds of doctors, medical professionals and staff members out of work.
“We’re only not going to be able to give you anything decisive today,” Lee mentioned Tuesday.
Asked if he will be able to answer specific questions in a day or two, “I regard so,” Lee said.
In a report performed by The Courier, Lee states to the person dependent with Sadler Clinic that the hospital had only “limited resources” to make payroll.
” … Sadler paid all hourly employees, but did not have ample liquidity to pay salaried employees,” the report states. “For salaried employees who did not obtain paid, their claims will be fittingly scheduled as a priority creditor in the bankruptcy.”
Lee did not answer specific questions concerning Sadler Clinic’s debt or amount and sort of assets, when the hospital will record failure or when delinquent employees can design to take any sort of remuneration for weeks of work.
Hourly employees were summoned Friday to the clinic’s principal place on South Loop 336 West in Conroe to take their last paychecks. None were paid for accrued eighth month time.
Salaried employees still have not received remuneration for their last weeks of work.
Those employees were not the only ones due allowance who haven’t been paid by Sadler Clinic, one one-time worker mentioned Tuesday.
“They’re outrageous in debt,” the worker said. “They haven’t paid any bills in God knows when.”
The worker cited a insufficient of chemotherapy drug for cancer patients since the hospital couldn’t pay its bills, and mentioned the chemotherapy patients had to be eliminated to Memorial Hermann The Woodlands Hospital for treatments.
Biohazard containers that grip used syringes and materials containing corporeal fluids, such as blood, were not emptied on a periodic basement since the hospital couldn’t pay the company hired to perform that job, the worker said.
The clinic’s surgical apartment was closed for a time late last year since the hospital couldn’t purchase supplies, the worker said.
“They didn’t pay vendors,” the worker said.
The clinic’s financial difficulties began a small more than two years ago when two dozen doctors left over a discord with administration concerning non-compete clauses. Five more doctors left after that in 2010; dozens of employees were laid off then as a outcome of the doctors’ departure.
Losing that many doctors done it tough to encounter long-term commitments to landlords and vendors with the income from the number of doctors the hospital has had since 2010, Dr. Mark Wilkerson, boss of the Sadler house of directors, formerly said.
“There was an incapacity to correct the ship,” he formerly said. “The decisions you done could have been improved along the way.”
Most of the clinic’s doctors are re-establishing their practices, possibly on their own or with other physicians’ groups. A number of them will go to work for Hospital Corporation of America, that owns Conroe Regional Medical Center.
