K-9 Mov, Pedigree looks good, you will be brining new lines into the mix.

Chaz all 3 members did compete at the the AWDF, Dan/Jason are both going for spots on the World Team.

The AWDF would naturally have a high entry compared to a USA or WDA national event, as members of all FCI recognized organizations, all breeds, are encouraged to enter, while, although "alternate breeds" are welcome at the WDC, members of "other" org's are not solicited for entries, and non-USA members residing in the US are barred from the event. But that topic has been beaten to death.

I believe South county Schutzhund Club has swept the top places at number of events, when Egon Vollrath was alive, but not certain. If not, they were darned close.

Its sad to note that any conpetitor's hard work has earned them a shot at the WUSV team, but the cost prohibits them from going further. I could see bringing back the Zone Trials, perhaps with only one other score in either the WDC or the Nationals necessary to quality, (average scores in 2 events) so everyone had at least one chance to earn a qualifying score in their own region. Zone Trials were typically one-day events, one judge, but held in a stadium of some kind. The cost of hosting them was much more reasonable than a larger, national event, much like a regional chanpionship. The longest drive within a regional is tyically 2.5 hr or less (150 miles?) each way, Granted, a long drive if you live at the furthest distance from the venue selected one year, but competitors didn't usually have to stay overnight if they got up early enough to get there before tracking unless they came early to practice on the trial field.

Shelley, you must also factor in the fact that the AWDF is used by other breed clubs to select their teams for international competition in breed-limited world championship, as well as the -all breed-limited AWDF FCI team.

Im just surprised that no one realised that Eddie Karana score added up to a 267 ..81+90+96=267 not 257 which makes him 10th place and 8th place H.O.T.  http://www.2011workingdogchamp.com/result.html

@mohawkjohn I find it surprising that no one emailed the webmaster or the trial secretary and pointed this out or questioned it. As you know not everyone is perfect and we all make mistakes but I will correct this one. Eddie actually received 80 points in obedience, not 90. His final score of 257 is correct as is his placement. It was a typo on the website. For that I apologise but being both the web person and trial secretary I was extremely busy. Owner edit: It will be corrected later today on the website. Michelle

Cool Michelle...yes everyone makes errors...esp. type errors...I wondered if that was the case why Eddie didn't realize it... but that explains it...
