How can an AGM happen without propoer notification?
This is against KC rules and must be reported immediately otherwise greater sanctions from the KC could prevail.

I have been a BAGSD member for several years now. I am STILL waiting for an explanation of why the MEMBERS money has been transferred into a Limited Company.
One major reason for a company to be limited is so that if anything goes wrong, the Directors can walk away with no legal recourse financially.
Why is it necessary for BAGSD to become limited? It is SUPPOSED a club run for the members, by the members.
My whole experience of BAGSD is that it is run by those with ambition of sitting behind a big desk, telling the people that fund it how they will do something.....now I think of it, BAGSD could be Brussels Association of German Shepherd Dogs....
Knowing that they even break their own rules about AGM (notice to members, conduct, etc etc) is of no suprise to me....happens at Branch level too.
Why do I remain a BAGSD member? Well it means I can use the nicely cut grass at some of the clubs to train my own dog as long as I stay within sight of a BAGSD Qualified Instructor.....I get a bit of discount when I book into Obedience Shows and......where else can you get someone to make you a coffee for 20p.
Do I think that BAGSD will ever do anything for the GSD??? Well not unless it means that the reward is a bigger desk and more chance to throw weight around.

Kennel Club Mandatory Rule:
KCMR:- A Rule stating that the Rules of the Society may not be altered by that Society except at an Annual General Meeting or Special General Meeting, notice of which includes details of the proposal to alter the Rules. Such alterations shall not be brought into force until The Kennel Club has been advised and has given its approval of the alterations. New Rules or amendments introduced specifically to meet The Kennel Club requirements shall be adopted immediately and be included in the Society's Constitution with effect from the Society's annual meeting. No business shall be transacted at an Annual General Meeting unless notice thereof appears on the agenda, with the exception of routine matters or those which in the opinion of the Chairman of the meeting are urgent.
Kennel Club Mandatory Rule:
KCMR:-All Registered Societies must undertake to keep a Minute Book which must contain a full record of all business transacted at General Meetings and Committee Meetings, including a record of all Guarantees offered by the Society; and to maintain a system of accounts showing a complete record of the Income and Expenditure of the Society and a Balance Sheet. Such Minute Book, Accounts and Balance Sheet and also any other documents belonging to the Society, are to be produced to The Kennel Club at any time when required. A copy of the annual Statement of Accounts for the last financial year which must be certified in accordance with the Rules of the Society must be sent to all members of the Society except that provision may be made in the Rules of the Society for the annual Statement of Accounts to be forwarded on request by a member, otherwise, it will be available for inspection by members at the Annual General Meeting and at times to be stipulated in the Rules.

The name(s) of the newspaper(s) must be included in the Rule. Such notice must contain all the relevant information concerning the meeting and business to be conducted and be published not less than fourteen clear days before the date of the meeting. No business other than that named in the notice shall be brought before a Special General Meeting.
