Kick in the face...GSDCA hosting the WUSV? - Page 7

Do we really want idiots like this guy and his cohorts running the world's foremost Schutzhund event???


ROTFLMAO!!!!!!! Formost in the WORLD? HAHAHAHAH!!!! OMG you people are killing me!!!!

Can't read through all this. What I can say is that I was a long time member of the GSDCA, hobbyist breeder/exhibitor.

Any of you who think the GSDCA is concerned with the GSD as a breed need only research the programs/dogs of the top officials and breeder/judges of the GSDCA.

Find one mandatory policy that the GSDCA has instituted for the betterment/health of the breed in the U.S. It is nothing more than a social club with the health/character of the breed coming in second.

The WDA was formed by entrenched GSDCA members as an antidote to the rising popularity of UScA and I can assure you that they never envisioned "losing" control. 

Then the membership of the WDA grows with people who are not enamored with the "POS" Am S/L, up pops a very strong leader (Danny Sprietler) and suddenly the GSDCA is outside looking in.

So what do these very same original founders of the WDA do now that they are voted out by a membership disgusted with the direction provided. They go to their "cronies" in the GSDCA and convince them to back and promote the AKC "WDS". They obviously feel that this is the road back to their power base.

Why would the GSDCA, which already has a respected , world recognized Sch. organization in the WDA, suddenly switch to backing the AKC WDS.

Wouldn't it make more sense for them to throw all their clout behind the WDA.

In my opinion, it is because they feel they no longer have complete control.  

I don't think any organization is perfect, but the WDA is the most positive direction I have seen the GSD in the U.S. take in my 25+ years involvement.

Christopher my darling, are you talking to me?  If so, I said: " If they think they are qualified to hold the premier world schutzhund event for GSDs..."  Obviously the WUSV and it's events are only important to GSD folk, I was not implying it was the premier world event for all breeds, that would be wrong...............and stupid.

Rik, Danny supported the WDS program. Let's not revise history.

If you were there then you know that when the WDS program was proposed Danny was all for it.

Chris, I am not for or against Danny. Could care less his personal opinions or agenda. And, yes, I was there.

What I do know is that the WDA answers to the GSDCA.

If you can't decipher the meaning of that, then let's just part ways peacefully.
