Two Moons

by Two Moons on 28 February 2012 - 17:02

Is that so hard to do?,,,

YES !

When one side wishes control over the other,  YES !!
It is a war make no mistake, and you can see it now creeping into the political arena more and more.
The separation of church and state was never a more important issue than now.

You see it globally between opposing faiths and extremists.
There has been religious war and it was bloody, it will happen again if someone can not stand up and say enough.

Hypocrisy is everywhere, joined by ego and pride, born of ignorance for something that is not real.
People will kill over it.
They are killing now over it and it will get worst.

It will get worst when the discussion stops, that's the real danger.
People do need to speak up, not the extremists, but those who do not think it is right to kill in the name of some god.
Any god.

Yes it is hard to just walk away and let them (extremists) take control.

Bee,,,I do look forward to Carlin getting back,,lol,,,I hope Carlin will try not to provoke moderation again lol....Moderation must have their hands full with threads like these..I don't envy that task I would imagine it wears on ones nerves...

Moons,,,That is a problem.. Why are people trying to control each other?..I do not need to control your way of thinking to validate mine.. Yes, it is done everywhere and it's wrong...

I don't see a problem for dying for what you believe in as long as you don't go out hating others in the process..Also, the term extremist can be very subjective IMO...

Don't read those religious threads.

Knock it off, I know you're peeking.

by triodegirl on 28 February 2012 - 19:02

Shtal.

I rarely participate in these threads because I'm sure I would be called a hippocrit and mocked. And I hate pissing matches.

If I understand "spiritual discernment" correctly. I think one would be a fool to welcome with open arms anyone who professes to be a christian. I have known many who claimed to be christain and the vast majority were anything but. And they are usually very cunning when they think they have found a sucker. (Me)  lol  I have always had a strong belief in God but I'm careful. If that's judging, then I'm guilty.

If I misunderstood then I will simply crawl back under my rock and have lunch with BeeTree.. BeeTree, sorry I put your name on my comment. I didn't mean to target you.

No problem, Triodegirl. I make a mean tunafish sandwich. LOL

Cute pictures Ninja!

I too hope Carlin can return soon.

Moons, I agree with you about control.   You mention extremists.  Like Ruger 1 said, what might be extreme for one person is not extreme for someone else.

GGTurner, isn't what you just posted pretty obvious to the average joe? What do you say to those mouth pieces who won't stop being rude with their hijacking? You think they'll stop? I don't think they can do it by themselves. Only with a little help from GSD, if you ask me.

Bee, love ya girl, but I was talking to you.  Why do you comment on religious posts or respond to some posters (mouth pieces as you call them) when they bother you so much?

by beetree on 28 February 2012 - 19:02

GG, I'm reponding to the topic...Stay or Go. This is where that question was asked, if I don't respond, my views on that subject aren't heard. I generally don't respond to the Christian dogma. This isn't about Christian Bible theory it is about internet preachers who know no bounds. And they should.

And please, note, Shtal addressed me, that's like waving a red flag in my face. LOL

Wish all of us always knew our boundaries, but alas we are flawed humans.   We all make mistakes.  At times, we all get on someone else's nerves.   At times, most of us have been guilty of getting a thread off topic.   But, I don't think that warrants banning certain types of threads.

by beetree on 28 February 2012 - 20:02

Maybe now, they will, but only if they fear a consequence. Sad, but true, isn't it? What usually happens is, Shtal starts a post, and he can't get anyone to play except his own choir, which really doesn't get him a feather in his crown, so he resorts to baiting others, any way he can or every thread he can. That is what needs to stop.

I could care less when the thoughtful people have a thoughtful discourse on religion, doesn't bother me in the least. Sometimes, then, I even learn something. But if you think I'm going to waste a minute of my life thinking I'm going to learn something from those frightened hatemongers, well, you already know the answer to that!
