It never gets easier... but as the Vet I worked with for 25 years always said... the day it gets easier, is the day I quit....Guess that's why I liked working with him so much.  Years ago I had a GS book with this preface..

"To all the beloved's
who have gone before
Lord, but there'll be
deaf Angels
when you lift
Up your heads
and bark"

I give thanks for the youngsters who remain here to help us past the pain...

Jan, you have our deepest condolences. It does not matter how many dogs one knows in this life - they are all special and missed when they pass. There are those who for whatever reason are very much a part of our lives, and life as we know it is never the same once they are gone.

I know the feeling too well, and I know that it never gets easier. If your girl could speak to you from afar, I am sure she would tell you to remember only all the good and fun times with her.

Kindest Regards,
Bob-O

I posted this to Psycht re: Poe last week, but I think it bears repeating:

In their eyes, you saw a loving soul, and in your heart you knew you'd never have a finer friend.

They say that it gets easier with each one that passes...I have never found that to be true...And wouldn't want it that way...
I too thought that it would get easier with each one that passes...but I have grieved each and everyone...
I do believe that I'll see them again and it will be a glorious day...

So sorry for your loss YR...but you will be together again...Someday...
