It depends on which form of the word sable you're using.
One means black.
The other refers to a type of animal, called a sable, which has a distinctive two-tone guard hair.

If you're using the definition of sable that means black, then saying "black sable" is redundant.

If you're using the definition that refers to the two-toned animal, then you're using the wrong word, and you should use agouti to properly describe the banding on a GSDs hair.

SP, keep this thread on the OT. But to get to your question....You should know that answer because you have visited our website many many times, googled our kennel many many times, made many many allegations, comments and accusations about us..  Think after all that you wouldn't have to ask.... But if you still don't know by now, ITS NONE OF YOUR BUSINESS...   You are constantly trying to argue with me.....What are you trying to prove?     PLEASE LEAVE ME ALONE...  You can say what you want, and accuse what you want, I will not respond to you again...Keep making a fool of yourself by deflecting attention on me because of  your short comings.....Hope you understand this statement......

The way it was described to me, a sable is a sable is a sable.  The rest really is unofficial descriptions.  To most people a  red sable refers to a sable with a red undercoat.  A grey sable refers to most other sables.  A dark sable is a dark sable (the black overlay is more prevelant but still, it's pretty much up to the eye of the beholder),  with a light sable you see more of the undercolor, (there is no official line of demarcation between  light vs dark sable, again it's in the eye of the beholder).  Finally, a black sable does not refer to the color of the dog in question, but usually means the dog can throw solid blacks.

I never pm'd you anything about me so lets see that pm.

I have your very first pm to me and the thread it goes back on. I will post it all here but your pm's can only be quoted I will not post the whole pm and since that does not seem fair, I am refraining from posting it.

Here is a little quote from your pm, sounds like you are being friendly for the first time pming me. Is this how you introduce yourself to perfect strangers? So go ahead post this pm with me telling you who I am and where I live. Would love to see it as it must be a fake.

LITTLE BOY!!!!!! I did not direct my post at anyone except little boys playing. So That must mean YOU
