Wo with all this excellent information on "civil" drives in a dog;  when grading a litter of puppies, say you want a dog wih good civil drives as well as good prey, etc.  What do you look for in a young puppy, say 8 weeks old??

"I guess you may want to look at pups at 6 weeks and if they are barking on approaching strangers then they have enough civility via territoriality to be called civil I personally look for such pups and try to hold them back for further training or potentially breeding."

Hans,

Out of the pups that you've held back displaying this behavior, roughly what percentage (if any) ended up having poor nerves?
