"You may be correct Keith; I haven't seen the statistics to back that up, but it sounds reasonable."

Think of it as putting a switch in the dog; without the switch, you can't turn him off.

"However, that is not how the public, animal control officials, and insurance companies see it."

To this I will concede; it is absolutely a matter of perception and it is difficult for the uninitiated to understand that performance on the protection field is a measure of the dog's temperamental stability rather than the other way around.  Our job as stewards of the breed is to try to help educate them.

Keith,

You are exactly correct!   Further, the trained dog has an "out" command when it does bite.  The pet dog that bites may have NO command to cause it to let go.

Sportsmen's several years ago verified that during a five-year period they had NO claims against  any schutzhund clubs.  However, they had LOTS from non-biting sport and breed clubs.  I recall that Bassett Hounds were particularly notorious for being the cause of biting claims in clubs with Sportsmen's policies.

Yeah right Maggie Man. What a back peddling POS. The thread is still here Maggie and I am sure with a little thing called search you will be slapped again.

Michael49,

I have been told that but when the same freak keeps posting the same crap, runs around making up multiple users to support her point then yes I will keep calling him/it out. No matter what the rest think I do not need their approval to post.

"Obviously, some GSD folks feels very threatened by the Shiloh and Tina."

No, they don't.  Keith, Tina was saying the opposite, that no one on here was even bothering about what was going on with the Shilohs, and that upset Tina, which was her point, that she was (as others have pointed out) bringing info to the GSD people.

There is no" ie." about it!  Of course you mean leave the board, nice try rewriting history. You don't " VANT to be left ALONE!", LMAO, but you always seek an argument with somebody OR anybody.

And Mystere, here comes the selective memory, it fails conveniently-- every time.

Hans, Tina came on the board to give the GSD community a warning about people who are mixing GSDs with Shilohs, and calling them Shilohs. Some of the crosses have even been to Czech GSDs.

There was also a thread on the board about a week ago where a breeder was claiming her Shiloh from ISSR lines WAS a GSD. She had it registered as such with both the Continental Kennel Club and the UKC. That thread was deleted, as was Tina's original post on the database.

Here is the new article Tina was referring to.   www.shilohfraud.com/

Prager, what happened is Hodie produced an old advertisement from a 1960 dog magazine where the GSD was plainly associated with the Shiloh name. Of course knowing this board it went off in like a fart in an elevator and the debate began. Tina was dismayed at the lack of support from the GSD community that her breedings are being bastardized by less reputable breeders. She thought the GSD breeders would be upset, but until the Shiloh is recognized as a breed, it will be a tough sell on this board.

I was wondering what was taking you so long! I know how much you respect Tina and what she does with her vision.

Tess,

Not sure to which post of mine you're referring?
