Prager

Off course they are beautifull they are old style Czech dogs from our lines. Just to promote a good dog...I have sold Navar to Canada and he is there as a stud. (No I am not making one red cent on this ...just promoting a great dog.)
Also check his picture few posts above in "show position"

CKzaja, I have a great deal of repect for your opinion, and you NEVER try to force your opinions on anyone. I also admire what you do with your dogs. I just have to say, i have not torn this dog apart, i have torn apart the quality of the picture, and the handler/photographer. This has, as usual, been taken way overboard by the die hard working line dog fanciers. Annamay( harley, claire555) asked if anyone would like to comment on the dogs picture, not the dogs working ability. I would never give a full critique based on a photo, especially a bad photo. Now in reality this dog may well conform to the standard, but based on this picture, he does not. If my negative comments to the owner makes them, in 10 years, be in a posistion like yourself then i will be happy i have played a part in it.
Prager, The dogs you have shown here are excellent, and very good photos also. You can disagree all you like but none of them are remotely like the OP picture.
Crys, there is real hope for you, you seem a lot more opened minded than some.
Red sable What can i say,  only that you continually harp on about my rudeness and then post what you did in your last message, not that it bothers me one bit, it's just a bit like the pot calling the kettle black.
TO ALL THE" PET OWNERS"  I do not have a problem with you, in fact i love you all, because if it wasn't for you most breeders would not be able to continue to breed for that future "star". My very first gsd was a "pet"
To be successful in this game one has to have a thick skin, take the negatives and the positives, if one can't take negative comments maybe one should find another hobby. Been there, done that, got the t-shirt, i now have skin like a rhino!!!!

Bazza, well finally you have found some tact!  It's not what you've said, it's how you've said it.  No soul will disagree with an honest critique, but you seemed, before, to be just a tad harsh.  The above post goes a lot further to explain what should have shone through on the previous posts, there's no reason to be so harsh.  Some have been on this board for many years (I was here under another name and changed it when I did my road trip) and it is not limited to working and/or show.  It is about the GSD, even the pets.  And pet people just may learn something about what a true GSD can and should be, so next time, maybe, just maybe, they'll decide to look into some work that their own dogs may be able to do, even if purchased originally as pets.  It still does not diminish the fact that pets have a place in this world too, and the GSD is so versatile, even a pet QUALITY dog is special in the world of PETS.  Maybe some will decide that this breed deserves the respect of taking them as far as they can go, even if that means "just" a CGC.  Not everybody has a winner for the Schutzhund field or the show ring, but they're all winners in some way, no matter how small a contribution.  So, with your explanation above, maybe YOU'RE learning too

GSDtravels:

Wait, you're right, bazza sounds ... decent? Too bad I didn't read this before I read his other post. Oh well, I'm still drinking my morning coffee.

Bazza, if you agree that the dogs Prager posted are of correct conformation, than I take back what I said about you following the standard.
How was I to know what standard you followed when you wouldn't post a picture of your dogs?  My comment was not a personal put down to you, but one to those breeding  - or judges preferring froggy GSD's.

Thank you redsable, i do think sometimes it is difficult to quite understand someone based on a message on a forum. No disrespect but my dogs are not up for debate, i take the breed standard very seriously and detest extremes of any kind, W/L or S/L. I never take anything personaly, if i did i would be a very depressed man, lol.
