I am sure the heat affected every dog's performance. Understandably, most dogs experienced a loss of energy, less strong barking, lesser grips, slower pursuits after running 6 blinds in high temp/humidity. The good news is that no dogs or handlers demonstrated serious distress during or after their performances.
Rezkat- I was all over the place at the event, never lighting anywhere for more than a few minutes, but I am always easy to spot. I am rarely seen without my "signature hat," a wide brimmed canvas affair with a cord that hangs down below the neck. The sun hurts my eyes, and once "hat hair" sets in, I rarely remove it, even after sunset.
